Easy way to delete start menu items (Vista)?

Is there an easy way to delete all the program shortcuts and folders from the start menu in Vista? You can only select one item at a time to delete and it takes forever. I remember in XP you could just go to the start menu folder in explorer and delete stuff, but that folder is locked in Vista...

if u go there directly it shouldent lock u out
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

and if it is locked use takedown commands in the run command in admin in safe mode then go to town, or enable the super super admin acount

Thanks! I don't know why that doesn't show up when you search start menu...
