No booth babes, but there was Jasmine acting as hostess.
To say she was a '10" would not be properly describing her.
Now imagine a young lady, perfect figure, beautiful face and add in a pleasant outgoing personality and you have just an idea of who she is.
She handled herself with a poise beyond her years.
The best way to say it is just a nice person that your glad you met..

Had a great time last night! Thanks to everyone that helped put on the event. Met a ton of really great people! Here's a few pics I managed to grab:

Great pic of RA1D and fugger (with Craig from CSX making an appearance!):

Hard to see, but the CPU was at 6300MHz:

Me and RA1D with Eric and Angela from Gigabyte (great people):

    Dave with his Kareoke prize:

    Jasmine and I:

Meant to get more pics, but instead I got more drunks. Thanks again everyone!

    Thanks !

My ears are still ringing from Movieman, all ear plugs had been used up, worn out and tosssed before I came. Was great meeting Dave tho !!

Thanks to all the vendors that made this possible also !

hehe Dave is a really cool guy and it was a pleasure to met you my friend

    A few more pic's

    Ok some pic's coming up

The big tent outside durning the day.

    The cold stuff

They had 2 small tanks of Liquid Helium

The crew durning the day getting things tuned up with LN2. That pot would take a full thermo of LN2. They would pour it non stop to keep it filled up. Temps for these tune ups for -190c, about as cold as you can get with LN2.

Jake from EVGA was there inside having fun with a Core I7 965 setup. He was rather board here and I thought I heard hi, crying under his breath... I want to play with Liquid Helium, we are only -80c here ! ... soob... soob. Just kidding Jake

The over head screens as it started to get dark

The dome outside at night. I told them... This is Vegas you guys need Lasers !

And they are starting to get ready for the Helium

These here are at -230c which was as cold as they could go. Breaking 3DMark05 records with a 45K+change run

So with the setup they were using they said that they need to develope new pots to get even colder. It was pretty wild, I had to leave the tent a few times because of all the Helium in the air, you could smell it and it would get to me after awhile. They said the night before it filled the top part of the dome and started to change the sound of the speaker setups they were using.

So with these new AMD chip you simply cannot get them cold enough. You could pour LN2 by the gallons and these chips still want more. They ended up with a CPUz run of 6.8ghz I think it was. But final WR was run at -230c and 6.3ghz.

Intel was rolling inside with a 965XE setup and had some problems at first but Jake from EVGA managed to pull some good numbers out of there on LN2, I think it was 5.3ghz that I saw, he most likely got a bit higher as Jake showed Franswa *sp from Intel how to run this setup. Good Job Jake !!

It was a great event !

Well; we did much more than 5.3GHz.

I did nearly 5.6GHz @1.5v (if I'm not mistaken it was a little less than 5.59GHz) while bob was pouring the pot (at about -95C). Only suicide BTW; stability was hard to find over 5.4GHz. AFAIK, the chip was yours.

PS. I'm just realizing that it was the WR... Hopefully, the valid might still be on bob's HD. lol But I didn't care about that... I'm definitely not a WR guy.

It was "only" 6.5 GHz for CPU-Z as far as I know The 05 WR was taken down by 6.3 GHz.

Amazing job, Team Finland. Seeing the system boot into windows at -245C seems so unreal, yet it is happening.

It was great meeting new people like grandpa Movieman and seeing familiar faces again.

The event was as perfect as it could have been, well, with one exception: The location could have been a strip club

Many thanks to everyone involved, especially Fugger, AMD and Team Finland.

It was great talking to other people that share the same passion.

Oppainter is such a great entertainer. Too bad I can't list everybody present at the event, the list would be quite long. It has been a pleasure

I took a zillion pictures that I will upload when I get back to Germany. Here is what the board looked like after about 2 hours of benching with liquid helium:

Not OC related sadly, but did anyone happen to catch this guy: http://www.viddler.com/explore/engadget/videos/189/

You have to wonder how much caffeine (or other perhaps less than legal substances) this guy was hopped up on.

all the world records, except 3Dmark2005 are intel ... even with 6.3ghz ... the phenom architecture really need a new design ... hehehehe ...

As Dirk Mayer said in 2005, frequency is not what only matters, the performance only matters ... it was followed with Hector agreeing .... hehehehe

by the way, it was very fun, thanks to all, and i hope that every body saw that the AMD guys and the intel guys were gentlemen, we expect you guys to follow our example, we had drinks together, and spoke friendly (without breaking any NDA). The war is only in your imagination, let's keep the olympic spirit ... bragging is allowed ... but respect is a must.

Yeah Francois, just wait for 6 core Istanbul for desktop, lets see how 8 threads in 965@3.46Ghz go against Deneb at 3GHz with 50% more cores .

Oh and those -240C temps are insane .How about that,a retail chips with no cold bugs and no *dirty tricks* a la "disabled temp sensors" and similar .
