    Core i7 940 WR@4978mhz

    System:

    . MSI Eclipse SLI X58
    . Intel Core i7 940 Retail
    . Kingston Hyperx DDR3 14400
    . Cpu cooling by Non modded Vapochill LS (Evap idle -44)
    . Vcore: 1,52V load , 1,37V idle Eist enable

    This is quick test My new cpu on Vapochill LS , I checked Hwbot and Ripping , I think this is WR non extreme Corei7 With LN2 more to come I'm sure spi and some test will add

    I'll have to see if I can find some time before Christmas to do some benching.

    Can you run the same speed in dual/tri channel ?

    LN2 will hardly benefit as most of these CPUs bug so low that DICE/Cascade temps is all that is needed.....though you never know when the wonder chip will show up

    today ı made different install part for vapochill and do more pi then last night ( on 4870 mhz )

    so, sorry dear deanzo and rdrash for 2 mhz

    So is "940" coded into the chip and that is what CPU-Z is reading, or is CPU-Z reading the base clocks of 2.93Ghz and the fact it's a i7 and calling it a 940 ?
