Macs hit with BitTorrent-embedded malware attack

Macs hit with BitTorrent-embedded malware attack

For years, Mac users have long been rightfully smug about their platform's relative immunity to virus and malware attacks, but it's inevitable that those days will eventually come to an end. (As the Mac gains in popularity, it also earns more attention from malware developers, and it's this lack of malware being actively developed, not some special, inherent security, that have really kept the Mac a "safe" platform for the time being.)

Yes, although we probably shouldn't act like feminists - "Who said anything about equal rights, female supremacy!"

Everybody should have the same share of viruses.

Steve Jobs will put his healing hands on every Mac and cleanse them of this plague. I read it on MacRumors so it must be true.

easy answer would be to tell him to have fun gaming.

While back a buddy send me a mail and i told him that there was a virus in the attachment.
So he send a mail to everyone that there is a virus etc. 1 of the people that also got his mail said that she cant possibly get a virus seeing she is on a mac and mac are immune to every virus.

I told her that Macs dont easily get any virusses cause nobody makes virus that affects Macs, probably cause they think Mac owners already got it hard enough as it is.

Dont get me wrong Macs are good machines for people that want to overpay or that can actualy use the things Macs are good at. But i just hate the attitude of most Mac owners.

Some of you need a thread called "I irrationally hate macs and those who use apple-computers"
Notice any grammar or spelling mistakes? Feel free to correct me! Thanks

Doh! Only MacZealots were stupid enough to belie otherwise... (seriously now, I'm not being sarcastic). I used to add this statement sever time, back in the old days and got trashed by Mac Zealots saying "I'm stupid Mac, cause is invulnerable, impossible to get infected with a malware or a virus. Only Windows users or subjected to this problems..."

    Who's laughing now?

I recommend Anti Virus/Spyware/Malware companies to target Mac from now on' cause that zone is open for business. Even charge 200$ per year for a Mac Anti-Virus/Spyware/Malware , it's not like Mac users can't afford them. Just be fair and make a huge profit from their childish naivety.

    So what?

The Macintosh platform is already a virus by itself. Adding Malware is insignificant compared to the dreadful experience you would have using one in the first place.

I thought mac OS is a variant of BSD which is bad for Linux users too as in if it's possible to do this in Mac OS it may be possible to do it in Linux.
