What about a sound card or raid or anything else other than a video card?

I was having weird reboot issues...I had the system up and running and out of the blue, it would just reboot...I reseated just about everything and it seems to work fine now so i'm hoping it was just a loose copnnection.

I simply bumped the BCLk to 166 from 133 and my system runs fine...no voltage tweaks at all...I'm guessing overclocking on Core i7 will be easier and better than it was on Core 2 Duo/Quad....I still don't understand how these BIOS values I see all work in conjunction with one another yet....but I will try to bump up the BCLk more.

Asus finally released decent overclocking software...Turbo v app works nicely and has a decent amount of options...you can adjust a lot of voltages in it...I still prefer BIOS but for those whop like using OC software, give it a try.

I ran my Asus Xonar sound card on this mobo with no problems at all...very stable motherboard...also very easy to use...3.3ghz from 2.66 stock with no vcore added is pretty good IMO.

BCLK 200 works fine on this board...that puts the CPU at 4ghz...I needed to bump vcore to 1.4 though.

It kind of lame and unusable for serious OC for now as of two major reasons:
    1. If you set in BIOS bClk above 200mhz (201 and on) it would show 100Mhz on TurboV and it just doesn't affect the bClk anymore.

    2. In most cases, changing parameters like vcore/bClk results in system hang so I prefer to use setFSB and set the vcore and other major stuff in the BIOS.

Nice try Asus, but you got to try harder.

The board looks really nice with all those endless PCI-E connections.
What is the retail price on it ?

I haven't tried going higher than 200 bclk...I will though to see what happens...4ghz is plenty fast for me on air cooling though...these CPUs get hot very fast.

I have a question regarding this board: what's the distance between the top blue slot and the bottom blue slot? Would a crossfire bridge be long enough to gap this distance?

    thanks,
    Daniel.

I would like to hear about people running CrossFireX as well with Creative Sound Cards and Raid Cards and see if they had any problems with it.

I have the ASUS P6T WS Pro which is almost the exact same board as the P6T6. I cannot use my $140 PCIE x1 Creative X-Fi Ti Fatal1ty sound card with it right now because it slows the board to a crawl. Like 5 minutes boots compared to 20 second boots. I have told ASUS about it...

Supposedly a brand new BIOS update fixes the sound card issues with the P6T6...

Just saw this, sorry. It's a 4 slot difference, you should be able to measure it on any board, take your 1st slot, count down to the fifth slot and measure. As for a crossfire connector being that long, the ones I have will only bridge a 3 slot difference, so slot 1 and 4 max, but I believe there may be longer ones out there.

I have hade this board for three days and have not had a single issue with it.I have a sound blaster X-FI in the second black slot with no slow downs and a gtx 285 in the first slot. The memory 3-2gb would not run in the black slots but are fine in the blue ones.Bios is the latest that was shipped with it 0311.

    Question Equivalent or better???

    .
Does this mean that the OC features are the same if not better than the P6T Deluxe or rampage. 2? I ask because looking at ASUS site, it appears the board isn't as OC friendly as the other 2, but they may be due to the market it advertises too...
    Smallbox:
    CPU: C2D 1.87Ghz Merom (mobile)
    Mem: 2Gb OCZ value
    Mobo: MSI 965GM Fuzzy ITX

    DVD: Mata (completely garbage)
    HDD: WD 640
Case: I dunno, but its small 4"x7.5"x11" (HxWxD)

Hey, could anyone who has pushed this board to 4GHz stable post your voltage values? And have the 4GHz folks done so with memory at 1600MHz? I thought the HardOCP review said they couldn't substantially overclock the board if memory was set at 1600MHz.

    thanks for any info!
