    Units on ebay?

I was wondering, I have found several regrigerant units, compressor and condensers all ready for their intended purposes, how hard would these be to modify to use for a phase change or a chiller?

Several of these units are under a 100 bucks are 115v and generally 1/3hp. I want to start a project for a learning purpose's for building units. Figured going cheaps on parts for a learning build would be optimal.

Besides recovering the gas, what else would be needed?

    example:

Those can be a very good way to get a nice compressor and an even nicer condenser/fan. The condensers are normally larger than we use in single stage direct die units, but are great for chillers.

Just watch the shipping on them, a good deal can quickly go south if shipping is too high.

Well, I figured even if I went with a smaller condenser or if need be two condensers, this would save some cash for a learnign build.

    Questions?

I would need to removed the gas, and install a plate HX wouldn't I? and as said previously need a smaller condenser if I want to keep it a case internal build.?

What else would I need to run one of these.
