    Intel Core i7 920 WR ?

    Today i have time playing with Core i7 920 CPU (Engineering sample), bounded with GIGABYTE EX58-Extreme board. And i got this :

    is it a WR or not ?

    I think so but they are so new, what does cpu-z validator say? also submit it on hwbot that will tell ya for sure.

    Thanks Harshal, boot at 180 MHz bus speed and using SetFSB to 229. Nothing special setting on BIOS, but i'm using special BIOS ;D.

    nice work mate (amazing to see 229MHz there :o)

    i think he used that super secret feature in Gigabyte bios

    but seriously though i assume that the qpi link ratio used was on slow mode setting so that it doesnt exceed the 4000M limit

    can you redo the tests and change QPI Link speeds from Slow Mode to higher ones and see if you can still reach the same QPI

    actually it may not be the case

    you might have done something else (or the board on auto) to reach such amazing speeds dude

    but whatever it is you have to try and get us the screenshot from ET6 as such high BCLK so that some of the other users can try to replicate your results

    hey! nice bclk on that 920, great cpu speed!! does setfsb work on this board..? what version, and which model...?
