    Question Corsair HX1000 Voltages are being reported as 11.82v 4.90v and 3.20v, is this OK?

    Hi PSU folks. My Rails are experiencing VDroop when I run a fully loaded i7 system with 3 VGUs.

    The 12v rail is showing 11.82v
    The 5v rail is reporting 4.90v
    And the 3.3 line is reporting 3.20v

    Is this normal, or should the voltages remain rock steady as 12,5 & 3.3 when the system is loaded and drawing 850W?

    Should I RMA?

    What are you basing your voltage readings off of?

    Before I load all of these Big Power Drawing VGUs the system reports -- 11.97, 4.99 and 3.3.

    Everest is'nt going to be that accurate. Your voltages are probably fine. The only way to really know is hook a voltimeter to each corrasponding rail or get a clip on voltimeter. However your motherboard usually comes with some kind of PC probing software on the driver cd that will give you better readings than everest. Also you can go to your PC Health Section in your bios and see it's readings. But you wont be able to test load there.

    Even if those voltages were completely correct, those readings are well within spec. ATX allows for 5% variance on the rails.

    As long as your voltages are within normal spec (usually 3%), it's nothing to really worry about.

    Take a look at which connectors you have hooked up to what. 2 PCI-E modular are 12V1, other 2 are 12V2. All Sata + Molex are 12V2. 2 PCI-E from inside PSU are 12V2 also. 8p/24p atx are 12V1. You can always try moving them around if you find you have a problem with distribution.

    My HX1000 drops to around 11.9V, 3.18V, 4.94V under heavy gpu + cpu load, but as long as when it drops all the other reported voltages are solid you don't have to worry at all. If the drop on 12V or 3.3V creates fluctuations in any of your other voltages, ie. Vcc, GPUVcc, Vtt, Vdimm, etc then it's time to look into it.

    My HX1000 reports similar voltages as yours in Everest Ultimate Edition. I wouldn't be too worried.
