    Wine cooler to cool coolant?

I've had an itch to go back to chilled liquid for a while now... though I dont want to bust out the old A/c unit with the evap dunked in a 5 gallon cooler again.. I was thinking something smaller.

    Would something like this...

work? If I dunk like a cylindrical reservoir into that and just run the loop normally?

    Any ideas guys?

Also you can chill beer while you play. HUH no that sounds like a sweet idea though

Won't work, that's just a TEC, won't have enough cooling capacity.
You see what you did there? You got between me and the coffee, now this creates a SITUATION!

you might need MORE TECs to sustain your "ever-heating CPU"

for cooling beer which does not create additional heat, that's achievable in a certain time duration .. but for CPU, it constantly provide heat, it wont able to provide the adequate cooling which you required ...

there's someone who did their worklog on chilling coolant .. check here

yeah you got to remember food goes in at one temperature or beer and even beer takes like an hour to achieve desired coolness in a mini fridge and on its highest setting it can just start to freeze a beer but again its takes over an hour for that now that said imagine coolant that goes in there its already warmer then beer and it will continue to get warm a fridge is meant to cool and shut off the compressor when its not needed I think the compressor would burn out quickly as it will be going 24/7 and temps will not be good.

look into building a custome chiller with a compressor more suited for this app

I actually wanted to mention one more thing I seen someone actually rig something up similar to your Idea I dont imagine it worked well however its still funny to see They rigged a Water Cooler with a 5 gallon top and drilled a whole at the top for water to go back in like a res and the outlet they fitted the tubing over the tap of the cool side as you can do both hot and cold here is a pic of the cooler type to get an idea
