They look the part but the price will be ridiculously high. Just wait Kingston will be releasing the same RAM at half the price of these red GT's, they will use the same IC's.

Yeah, Kingston will probably catch up too, a little late but hopefully it will. Is good to know OCZ has a kit like this already. G.Skill has also a kit like this HERE.
Man, it feels good to see that each other will have to compete

I waiting for these to do my next upgrade, hopefully they'll come to market in the next 60 days. And, Intel's MAX on the memory controller in the CPU is 1.65v, not 1.35v. If that was the case, none of the motherboards out there would be in compliance.

The max voltage at a value of 1.65 is the Dram voltage which is the one you're talking we're talking about QPI/VTT voltage which is 1.35 max recommended.

You guys are really eager to be dropping this kind of cash on a 6Gb Kit...

I got my my Official response from G. Skill earlier today. It seems all of these DDR3-2000 CL9 to the upcoming CL7 Ram kits will need to be ran with QPI/DRAM vtt at 1.55 - 1.65v.

The G. Skill Black Pi DDR3-2000 will run at 9-9-9-24 1N with 1.55v on the QPI/DRAM vtt.

    Dear customer

All DDR3 2000 module requires QPI Voltage 1.55v to run.

You need to have good air flow on NB chipset. 1.35v is way to low though it is the recommend the safe voltage.

As long as NB chipset temp is not too hot, it is ok.

    Thank you

Weird cause every body keeps saying that voltage is dangerous for the CPU if it's related to the NB temperature then its kinda confusing :P.

I was thinking blood rage also. How about green tops of DFI and blue for P6T and Gigabyte?

Now the real question: 2000@1.65v, what are they at 1.9v or 2.0v? Are the ok at those voltages? Those are very tight timings. Will they really be DDR3-2400 at the 9-9-9-9-24/28/30 that current DDR3-2000 have?

It is completely related to the CPU, and unrelated to the IOH (what everyone still likes calling the "NB")

It controls the uncore, and importantly, the memory controller's voltage.

What were the memory volts for that? The memory held tight timings right through a 7% overclock.

Are you on water or chilled?

Haha, rarely read so much BS in so few lines before, only maybe in Asus tech support emails

    1. Going above 1,35V VTT 24/7 DOES mean running your CPU out of spec, and should therefore not be recommended by memory manufacturers, simple as that. In my personal opinion, chances for CPU damage beyond 1,5V are given but unlikely, but that's just me - time will tell I guess.

    2. Keep your NB cool because the mem controller still sits in the NB with i7 - yeah right

    3.

That's about all I got in response, sorry guys

    4. Erm wait.. QPI voltage? Huh? Is that the NB voltage? I should think not
See what happens when Asus names the VTT "QPI Voltage"?

The award for most clueless tech support hereby goes to G.Skill.. no wait, Asus can't be beaten in that respect, not even by this

So how can 2000 memory be used on a motherboard that is meant to support 1600? this stuff confuses the hell out of me.

So, can this memory be used on a P6T and run stable for a year or so?

    cstkl1: yup
melvin: y not go for our other cl7's?? platinum etc
    cstkl1wtf)... what cl7's are u talking about
melvin: we have some 1333's cl7's etc
    cstkl1: eh i would like to run 2000mhz Cl7 at 1.65v 1N
    melvin: u cannot run 1N on x58..

here is where i put down the phone

    update

confirmed ocz has around 200 units of the blades but the selling price is at
RM 2300.. exchange rate of 3.5 so that would make it USD657

so far pretty darn pissed with ocz and their binning.. seems to only works on the the motherboards they binned with which is usually one or two...

corsair dominators seems to work flawlessly for the ddr3's on most of mobo's

so what u guys think wait or just take the ocz's??
    prefer corsair though...

Well I don't know. I am not bragging here, but for the cost its rediculous. I have 6GB of Mushkins at 7-8-7-20-1T at 1600 1.65v. Performance is so close to above that the price of $250 for all vs. 650 not worth it.

Thats only your opinion though. 1600 C7 vs. 2000 C7 is a HUGE difference to alot of people here. And many are willing and able to pay those high prices for the performance.
