Hey guys, not worried to put 1.6v to cpu's uncore? I read the sheet corsair send with the kit but i'm sure you can be stable with 1.5v-

I test my GT quickly. 1.63V 2000 CL 7-8-7-20-1T no problem, but cannot go more lower voltage.

Why does my adata can do 1.55V 2000 CL7-7-7 at the same setting? It's not uncore voltage problem I promise, but 1.63V is not bad at all. It cannot compare with my super adata's memory.

I suspect it's the quality of the elpida ics.. everyone has been saying later elpida ics aren't as good as early ones... so maybe you're particular set are early ones and retail a-data 2133 will be like retail dominator gts (which are more recent elpida ics) in their behaviour. That and it could be cpu IMC quality as well.

I guess we won't know until we have folks who have recent made retail A-data 2133x to compare with folks with retail Dominator GT (i.e. my set where made week 4 and packed in week 5, 2009)

Andre do you know how long ago you're A-data 2133x were made ?

can depend on the particular cpu's IMC and board i suspect

    I know that. See http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=163

I received my adata about 1 month ago. Maybe they were made so early.

Correct, I did, however there's more to the thread:
    http://www.asktheramguy.com/forums/s...ship+australia

At the time I posted, the Corsair shipping info stated that they did not ship internationally or to P.O. boxes (which I quoted within the thread). After I posted that I emailed Ram Guy about it. That was on Saturday. Monday they updated the store shipping information to state it was international shipping. First thing monday morning Ram Guy posted this info in that same thread I linked to above.

So as long as people read the whole thread chronologically, they'll be fine

it is sure bcoz of ICs , already to get mass production of 2000 c7 1.65v as these GTs are doing, is no go ... therefore getting 2000 c7 at 1.65 , is already a mission...

Andres ICs are super handpicked, beyond what the ICs used for the GTs are...

I wonder if the hynix 40nm ic's due out in Q3 will do similar clocks/latencies

I picked up the 6GB 1866 model of the GT's, and am struggling getting up to speed. I have the EVGA X58 and the volatage terminology between the various MB manufacturers is tripping me up. Not to mention the difference in bios options. Can anyone give me hint at which voltages to look at first? My first few attempts to boot at 133 bclock and 14x memory multi led to a C3 post code hang.

Good to see that I am not the only one struggling... Cant even find the multiplier on the T3eH8 not to mention understand 1/5 of the BIOS options due to differences in naming between the various producers... I know. I am a NOOB! But the Dominator GTs sure look nice in my case...

    Hi,

There were some reports that 2:14 (DDR3-1866) memory ratio is not working very well on eVGA X58. Please try these basic settings first:

    Code:
CPU Ratio - 24x (or x20 or x22, depending on your CPU)
CPU Host Frequency (AKA QPI/BClock): 156MHz.

    Memory Control - Enabled
    Memory Frequency - 1600 2:12
    Channel Interleave - 6 Way
    Rank Interleave - 4 Way
    tCL - 7
    tRCD - 8
    tRP - 7
    tRAS - 20
    tRFC - 88
    Command Rate - 2T

    VDroop Control - Without VDroop
    CPU VCore - 1.2V
    CPU VTT - +400mv
    CPU PLL VCore - Auto
    DIMM Voltage - 1.65V
    DIMM DQ Vref - +0
    QPI PLL VCore - Auto
    IOH VCore - Auto
    IOH/ICH I/O Voltage - Auto
    ICH VCore - Auto
    PWM Frequency - 1067

Thanks for the info Bachus, I will try that when I get off work.

I've got a message from EVGA to try a 12x memory multi, as it may play nicer withe these until a new BIOS is released soon.
That kind of confirms the x14 problem.

On the eVGA, 12x or lower mem multi and 2T is necessary. However, under these conditions, the doms scream as much as ever. ;0

EVGA will release a BIOS shortly to solve some of the problems with the Corsair DIMMS, just finished testing it and things are improved greatly. However, still working on the 14x multiplier for better timings.

The same reason an engineering kit from another company here does 2130 on 1.6V at 8-7-7-20, but the retail kit for review does 2040 at 8-8-7-20 on 1.66V with the exact same setup. Even though the ICs were obviously "picked" for the ES kit, the quality of the IMC still comes into play here. Only one cpu out of six allowed the 2130 results.
