    *HOT* | Corsair DOMINATOR GT | 6GB (3x2GB) | DDR3-2000 7-8-7-20 @ 1.65V | *HOT*

    ---------------------------
    UPDATE: March 16th, 2009
KICKASS overclocking + video for your viewing pleasure

    Hi guys,

I had finally found time to focus some more on overclocking action with our Dominator 2000C7 GT!

If you're interested in what we've been up to, and what came out of it , click on the image to watch a video I cooked up

As far as I've seen around, some current triple-channel DDR3 frequency records fell in this video - top DDR3 frequency in triple-channel 3x2GB configuration and max. SuperPi 32M stable

YouTube video (switch to HQ mode for better fidelity) --- click on image

    SuperPi 32M @ DDR3-2266 7-8-7-20

    SuperPi 32M @ DDR3-2280 7-8-7-20

    CPU-Z Validation @ DDR3-2380 7-8-7-20, triple-channel 3x2GB

CPUVtt / Uncore voltage is not correctly reported in TurboV - it's not thaaat high

Let me know what you think about the video, and the results, please

BTW: More 2000C7GTs for those of you interested in snatching one for yourself are coming into the Corsair Store within days now... Stand by

    ---------------------------

    -----------------

Hi to all XS Bandwidth Addicts and lurkers,

It's been few months since my last contribution to Xtreme Bandwidth, but work kept me very busy lately, particularly with low-voltage Core i7 targeted memory products. So, what could be a better way to to stage a mini-comeback than give you all a glimpse into very near future of ultra-high performance DDR3 memory from Corsair, for your Intel Core i7 hardcore overclocking pleasure?

Let me introduce you to the ONE to rule them all...

    Corsair DOMINATOR GT

    TR3X6G2000C7GT
    3 x 2GB
    DDR3-2000 7-8-7-20
    1.65V

If you somehow managed to look away from those bad a$$ looking DHX2 modules , let's get on with some serious torture, making sure stability is tip-top...

    CPU: Intel Core i7 965XE
    Cooling: Thermalright Ultra 120 LGA1366
    Motherboard 1: Gigabyte EX58-UD5, BIOS F3
    Motherboard 2: Asus P6T Deluxe, BIOS 0905

    PSU: Corsair HX1000

Note1: Click on the any screenshots for larger version, please...
Note2: The latest CPU-Z 1.49 is used. All previous builds did not report CAS latency properly. For your assurance, Everest Ultimate and CPU Tweaker 1.0 is also displayed on screenshots.

OMG, that is the ultimate ram. That will probably clock DDR3-2650+ with 2.2 - 2.3V, and break the current WR.

    Price?
I will say this will be priced at US$700 - 800.

    newegg has the 2x2GB dominators DDR3-2000 CL9 @ 1.9V at US$630,00
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145210

now the dominators gt are DDR3-2000 too, but CL7 instead of CL9 and 1.65V instead of 1.9V. And its 3x2GB instead of 2x2GB.

I don't think this kit will be priced any lower then US$700 - 800.

The ultimate challenge is: can they release this GT series affordable a mean

not out of range, because if they're going to price it as they done with

DDR2 PC8888 i think they will probably sale half they could i wonder and they

might loose against other competitors, at least in sales perspective.

would be nice to let us know the chips they're using for this awsome kit.

With economy on the floor and not many people upgrading to i7, I hope they do price it decently. It would be really nice to have this sticks, but will most people be able to afford this?
    I can predict $700+

the great thing about i7 is that you don't need to spend a lot of money on ram to get all the bandwidth you NEED. so the 'most people' that will be upgrading will be getting probably more bandwidth than they need (15k+ r/w/c) with cheapazz ddr3 1066, 1333.
this stuff is strictly for benchers (and maybe, um, work stations?) that need the 35k+ r/w/c bw. and 700+ sounds about right for 3x2 with 3x1 2000 kits going for ~300

i just would love to see this kind of frequencies and latencys on 1T but

maybe that's asking too much, very nice ram, bachus_anonym can you post

some more bench's with everest bandwidth with higher freq in the cpu, perhaps

    4GHz. that would be lovely

wonder if IMCs would be able to handle that for 24/7 use with these sticks eek

maybe something we could get Michal to test and see if they will actually work with all slots occupied at same XMP settings

Just for you Aussies... I think DDR3-2000 7-8-7 will be pretty tough to break and stay fully stable, but DDR3-1866 looks promising. I don't know about 24/7 at this point but looks potentially doable...

Some tweaking wouldn't hurt, but what a hell...

So I take it that relaxing the timings does not help impprove the high clocks stability with this chips? I mean....2000 8-8-8 or even 9-9-9 would still be a killer for 24/7.
