Sounds good, has anyone seen any benchmarks from these? Apart from the 6.2GHz OC

As funny as this can be, none. (Yet.)

You probably need to crank more volts at the CPU without ACC, but it can be OCed. Just not as much.

Well the AM+2 boards can run Phenom II , later in Feb it will be AM+3.

So yeah you can OC Phenom II with the current boards that are AM+2

Strange that the launch date would be a Saturday and with only 9 days to go there are almost no etailers taking orders or even listing them yet ........

However, I and at least one other XS member have the 940 on order with ETA on 24 Dec.

    Dude, it's AM2, AM2+ or AM3

As said, no good SLI board yet. Although some stories go that Phenom II won't need ACC, I wouldnt take that risk just yet.

I dont think we'll see any AM2+ board anymore, most motherboard manufacturers are prolly stocking up for AM3, most likely if nVidia continues their chipsets we might see a SLI chipset with ACC for AM3.

You can OC Phenom II with any AM2+ board really, but I'd highly suggest to get a SB750 board to get the most likely best results. AM3 seems to offer no premium regarding OC'ing over AM2+, other AM3 is of course for DDR3.

So it does look like post X-mas after all. Don't know why they had to give you a premature shipping date, and then keep changing it. I don't get that.

As said, I do not care. As long as it's here in January. Although it's kind of retarded though, they never done that at all.

Gives me more time to get some badass cooling for other parts though
