That does not look normal. heres a screen with single iram.
ctslk1; your score above is insane, try running pcmark 05 with that raid set up, and check your xp start up score.
found out y
if i disable the the volume write back in the intel matrix
its back to normal around 400+mb
Could you do me a BIG favour please? can you run pcmark 05, and check the result details for the xp start up score with your velociraptor raid o set up.
i-ram gives me a really nice boost in score, im interested to see what those velocies do. if you just run system suite only which is default settings for pc05.
I use the i-ram purely for benching, not sure if i should invest in velociraptors or not, I have a feeling your drives against a single i-ram may be slightly better, Id really like to know how much better if at all.
Edit, I should have said, plz if possible run @3.8 ht on or @4.2ht on thnx. so We can compare on a level.
btw its with windows vista 64.
no optimizing or anything..
seems to be so so .

I think you should be getting better than that for xp start up.
im getting 113mb/s with a single i-ram http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm05=1868941 on xp start up. you had ht off, would that make such a big difference? I dont think so as pcmark is not a multi threaded benchmark....I think?
nope checked some reviews
those scores are correct
ssd's are higher.
I had almost the same problem, but mine was with crysis and warhead.
Found that disabling hyperthreading corrected most of the problem. The system would still crash and be touchy when booting. This was corrected by changing the Ultra E3 1000 for a Thermaltake 1200 Toughpower.
Now all the games run great and the system is very stable.
Hope that helps.

Well, as I have anticipated, I booted successfully this morning. Timings were 8-8-8-20-1T.
So, now I know this for my Dominators set at 1600MHz...
If I have timings at 7-8-7-18-1T I am 100% Memtest86+ and Memtest HCI stable once I boot, but a cold boot in the morning will always fail.
If I have timings at 8-8-8-20-1T I am also 100% Memtest86+ and Memtest HCI stable, and a cold boot in the morning will always succeed.
Now why in the heck would this be the case? Could it really be the PSU not being able to power up the ram at lower timings? Why would this occur? I have never seen behavior like this before.

hi, i'm new here...
i have this motherboard sitting on my table waiting to be installed...
it's my first time assembling my own computer...
if i plug my ddr3-1600 memory into the motherboard will it automatically run at 1600mhz or do i have to set it in the bios?
has the cold boot problems been fixed?
nope, most likely you will have to set it manually. mine set for 1066 out of the box. your prob will as well. unless you have a 965xe, then it will run at 1333 default.

Hi if I get a random BSOD at times which says the problem is with disk.sys or fault in paged area..could it be due to insufficient voltage or due to my HD or other stuff?
cos i have heard that its highly possible to get a bsod when you overclock..i gt no errors with prime95, occt, orthos and linx...
so could it be other factors and not the OC tt is causing the BSOD?
i did not OC my memory or gfx card..only cpu...and i am running win xp x64..thanks

Hi guys
i have a strage problem with my rampage II extreme
when i turn off machine or when it's need to C.cmos lcdPoster shows some numbers ( p80 00B1,p80 00B1 C0 ... ) after 30 seconds hang at p80 000C0 and i need to turn off power to pass the code, after reseted cmos and f1 in setup put all Voltage to highest possible so need to load default and save/exit
everytime it hangs need more than 2 minutes to do all steps
if anyone have this problem like me?
I tried all bioses
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deJH8T2Wc44
In BIOS Extreme Tweaker menu (enters as default) set:
1)DRAM Frequency - 1600 or as close as it will permit
2)DRAM Timing Control - first 4 numbers according to DRAM manufacturer spec.
3)DRAM Bus Voltage - set to DRAM manufacturer spec
I recommend not using auto level up for CPU or DRAM when overclocking. ASUS has the tendency of setting the voltages too high. I wouldn't rely on X.M.P. profiles in DRAM either. Set things up manually to be safe and verify all auto voltages right after the system POSTS again with new settings.

Is anyone seeing an issue where USB devices do not work under XP 64bit when using the X58/ICH10R 9.1.0.1007 drivers?

help!!!!
trying to boot my rampage 2, no luck
this is whats happening
When i plug the power cable in, the led on the mobo do light up and the external lcd poster screen comes up welcome and starts a timer (just counting up in time), then when i press the power button on the mobo itself, and then says welcome again and start the timer again (led on the soundcard comes on then off, & the fan controlers ,like it has power for a few seconds, then it turns it self off and the screen says something like power off
if you understand that
My first thoughts:
1- take out all ram, drives, all but 1 video card, even sound; see what happens
2- plug a fan into the cpu_fan header just in case that's causing it to shut off; see what happens
3- switch the BIOS over to the other one via jumper; see what happens
Let us know if there is any change at all when you do those things
