I´ve some bclk problems with my R2E. At the moment I´ve a rockstable setting for 21x200 but I´ve really no clue what to change to overcome the bclk wall at about 212mhz
Things I´ve tried until to get a higher bclk are :
Multiplier down to 19 which should open the way up to 220bclk in terms of cpu speed.
Memtimings relaxed to 8-8-8-24 from 6-6-6-18 ddr-3-1600. Rams are 3x2gb Dominator GT 2000C8 and running at 1.65V
    PCie up till 110mhz
    VQpi 1.45V
    IOH 1.25V
I´ve seen screens of people doing 250+ bclk on R2E, I´d probably would be a happy chappy when getting 215-220 3D stable and 230 Pi1mstable.

Coolingwise I´m running a HK3.0 with a laing and as Radiators a external MoRa2 Pro with Quad 180mm fans, and a internal Tripple Rad.
While Priming or Lix test i´ve had max temps of about 68°C on the hottest core and a watertemp of about 26°C

maybe your cpu is the problem there..
Can you try other cpu in that motherboard or that same cpu in other mobo?

I bet ya it's your R2E I have the same problem, could boot 212 but not stable, then after that the mobo will never POST. My X Gigabite Xtreme which is 50$ less gave me much better results.

That's what I did, but it will take some time for my classified to reach KSA from N.Y.

I tried the P6TSE on the same RAM, CPU and PSU and I was able to break 215 Bclk easily while on R2E which costs twice the price hit a wall at 212!

    Great work Asus !!

In my case it is not settings, I've been overclocking since the days of P2, (remember the P2 233?) so for me I was stuck at that kind of low bclk.
And was able to pull ahead with a much cheaper board the P6TSE!

4.5 stable is not an easy task, not every 920 and motherboard is capable of a stable 215 blck.. 4.2/4.3 should be easy

whats your bclk limit?? maybe your cpu or ram is the culprit here, in that case a new motherboard should be useless

Hello my friends.I have just set up a system with the following specs:
    i7 920 d0 , R2E , Dominator gt 6gb 1866 7 8 7 20 , 1050 w psu, wc custom with armor+lcs case. and 5870 sapphire vapor-x.
I overclock it a liitle and i ve got 4ghz i think easy.My temp from everest in full load says 68c with 1.28v.Because i am new in here can you give me a set up for better performance with my mems and all the other things to set iti in my bios 1639.
Please give me if you want optimum option for 4ghz and 4.2ghz or other if you have a better idea.

    Thanks a lot

This is THE highest I get can get BCLK on this board.

    http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=925101

It sucks because the CPU can at least run Windows at this clock @ as low as 1.3-1.35v but the board is just utter crap and won't do a MHz over 215MHz BCLK stable!
