    @Nordling:
    No gain between in FSB PCI & PCI-e cards, really. It's not the NB's PCI-express controller that's under stress here or causing instability at high FSB. Besides, it's in 2nd slot at PCIe x1 so only using one PCIe channel (other one is probably used for SATA ICH9R controller).

    It's made from E6600 stock cooler
    Can take the picture of mounting if you like.
    If your offer of taking pics of the naked NB pot mounting (and the pot) still stands, it would sure be appreciated.

    I'm trying to make one and it would be very helpful to start off with one already proven to work.

    P965 Commando is one of the best LGA 775 motherboard , nice result
    2600K working in 4.8 GHZ so far

    2600k @(4600 Ghz) 1.42v : (under water)
    Asus B2 mobo
    4 GiG DDR 2400 MHZ
    GTX 570 @ 1.063v ( 910/1820/2001 Mhz) .(under water).
    1020 W PSU

    I got my first Commando few weeks ago.

    max fsb with dice on nb 654
    max spi 1m stabel 646
    max spi 1m with multiX10 635
    I have high hopes for this cpu, look at the low vcore

    Do you think you can gain some MHz with higher Vcore and ln2 on chipset?

    Next bench we will try, asus evo with dice on NB, last time the evo did 625 with air on nb with multiX10
