why use PCI-E VGA?
awesome work man, that board is still screaming, congrats
keep oldschooling it
@Nordling:
No gain between in FSB PCI & PCI-e cards, really. It's not the NB's PCI-express controller that's under stress here or causing instability at high FSB. Besides, it's in 2nd slot at PCIe x1 so only using one PCIe channel (other one is probably used for SATA ICH9R controller).
@Oliver:
Thanks, we'll keep on oldschooling it!

If your offer of taking pics of the naked NB pot mounting (and the pot) still stands, it would sure be appreciated.It's made from E6600 stock cooler
Can take the picture of mounting if you like.
I'm trying to make one and it would be very helpful to start off with one already proven to work.
