    Core i7 thermal specification???

The processor spec finder is of no help:

Does anyone happen to know what the maximum safe load temp for the core i7 series is??

Tcase max is 67.9C at load of 130W for all 3 corei7's. But since intel cpus are calibrated to throttle, ie reach tjmax (100C in case of i7's) when Tcasemax reached (67.9C at IHS for i7) when at max load of 130W, Tcase specs dont help much for knowing safe core temps. Given it is virtually impossible to have less than 10C gradient from core to casing given any load, i guess one could argue if you are less than 78C core, you are clearly within IHS spec, but you may be in IHS specs even near tjmax. On other hand intel clearly states you may reduce life of the cpu if constantly operating near tjmax, not to mention you double life of the component for every 10-15C drop temp.
