I think you've already hit the limit without pcie. There's no rule how much will you gain with the mod. Depends on your cpu wall under air cooling.
MBO Gigabyte P67-UD4-B3 // CPU Intel i5 2500k //
GPU Gigabyte GTX470 // PSU Corsair TX650W //
RAM 2*2GB Geil Black Dragon + 2*2GB Corsair DominatorGT // HDD WD 640GB + Seagate 250GB (410AS)
It was cold, the computer stood on a balcony at -11 degrees behind a window. In usual conditions and the same options the computer couldn't start
its not big problem i think .
I heard that ud5 with pci-e mod can bclk239 and it is 5019 mhz with i7 920, it just that that is necessary to me (for cpu-z)

nobody that tested the 13q bios ? its the latest @ http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...test-bios.html
My current cpu has issues with all biosses above F7 (cannot set the uncore multi)
But i now got a new 6 core cpu so i have to upgrade
System Specs: -=Game PC=- | -=Lan Box=-
Q has been fine for me, although suffers from the same issue as I have with all the F13 bioses:
1. After verifying DMI I get a minutes pause with dots appearing, cant even power down during it. If I hit F12 instead to choose the boot device, I do not get it.
2. MS Reclusa keyboard seems to play up in POST. Either my pressing delete for BIOS is ignored or it causes it to hang on next screen.....Any other keyboard and its fine :S

i tried the f13j bios from giga's site.. i got a higher bclk but it would not recognise my nvidia cards. ill try the f13m later when I get back.
it also would allow my 920 to 21x? nice.... with turbo 22x?
ok, got the 22x wrong for the cpu haha. but i have been on f9d for ages.. still have no recognition of my g cards with f13 bios's tho, no matter which one i try. any suggestions? I am currently on f12 bios and cant seem to get it past bclk 226. what volts do you guys use to get past this?
its a shame im mb limited. my cpu has so much more left in it

hey all,
Just picked up a ga-ex58-ud5 rev 1.0 from microcenter for $70 nib. I blew up my evga board I've been using for 2 years, and figured I'd go with this since the price was right.
I've been reading this thread and getting a lot of mixed ideas about what bios to put on this board.
The cpu I have is an early i7 920 D0, 3849B018. On my evga board I was able to get 4.5ghz (215x21) with ~1.35v vcore under water on 24x7. I could get upwards of 4.7ghz bootable and bench stable. Processor runs very hot though.
Memory is OCZ3P1600LV6GK (3.2gb 1600 cas-7).
If anyone has any similar experience with a similar setup, please recommend a bios to start with.
thanks.
I recently ubdate my bios from F9 (which is best bios for me) to F12 which is even better than F9
i can say F12 is the best bios up to date .

I just got this board today, I'm running it with an i7 920 and 3 sticks of g skill DDR3, 1600 mhz.
My problem is both the LAN ports are dead, just don't work, I tried resetting the BIOS via the clear cmos both at the back and on the board.
When I go into the BIOS they're all enabled but the Smart LAN shows no sort of statistics, just blank.
I have updated my BIOS to the latest beta version available on the Gigabyte website, but again that has done nothing to help.
Is there a solution to this problem?
Thank you.
Nah your cpu limited.. with 226blck your already above the 4000MT/s for the QPI bus which causes instability. You can try to increase pci-e frequency a bit, caues this usually helps with higher blcks.
Plus anyone know what changed in the F13q beta? havent been on the ball for all the recent betas, im still on f13k.
guys i am on the EX58-EXTREME again and would like to know the best bios to date..
-Intel™ Core i5 750
-Asrock™ P55 Pro
-2x2gb Team™ Xtreem LV series 1600 CL-7
-2x 500gb Seagate™ Barracuda(soon to have an SSD)
-Corsair™ TX850
-Cooler Master™ HAF 922
-Thermaltake PW880i(custom)
Does this sound like a looser??

AMD:
I've just got one of these boards too, is the best BIOS F12?
Also, could anyone tell me if they have had any issues on boot using a USB k/b? I'm having to use a PS2 k/b on boot and switch to a USB
Have I missed something in the BIOS, USB mse and k/b are both enabled
