    Suggestions for Mount

I'm having some troubles fitting my Vapochill on a AM2 socket/mount. I've checked various stores, Ebay, Google, and all those things to find a AM2 mount. They do exist, but are hardly to get anywhere. All i have is this stupid S775 mount which has different mountingholes then AM2 has.

So i came up with an idea this morning.... it supposed to hold down eitherway the whole S775 kit or just the head only.

A piece of this... it's used as a plate for cutting meat / bread / vegetables n stuff... I might cut her up twice and put them together, as i drill a few mountingholes according towards the AM2 standard.

The following is the S775 mount (poor picture)

This is the Idea i had in mind for today Anyone has some better suggestions or questions?

Yeah its the same Evap and yeah i have the same mount but then in Plastic material and some isolation. The only problem is is that i lost it (i hope to find it today go*bleep* )

So far the mount is done. I need some screws long enough to hold it. But no that mount wont fit on AM2. You'll need a Kit and not just the lose things.

I got some pics from last weekend....:

Custom mount , on a Foxcon motherboard with the Nforce 590 SLI Chipset, overclocks horrible (280 and above with 3 types of memory was a faillure)

The LE 1640 in bios on a Gigabyte M55S3:

The Ice forming on the IHS of the chip

First judge: This mount really holds well. You need a extra pair set of hands anyway to really tighten things up. The chip was a Athlon LE-1640, stock at 2600MHz and at 1.55V / 3850MHz at minus 29 degrees. When i putted the Vapo outside the temperature reached up to minus 43 degrees where the coldbugged kicked in (and damaged my partition) and was no longer bootable.

I need a voltmod for the Gigabyte M55S3. The only board out of 3 last weekend that managed to archieve 3850MHz.

I was about to post the same thread, I suppose there isn't a problem to post in this one?
A friend of mine is offering me a Vapochill Classic real cheap but only has mounts for s.A and 478, so I will need a LGA775 mount. Can I buy one from somewhere/someone or I need to make it myself?

You can buy mines , lol.

Nah it was'nt hard to take a AM2 bracket and start making measurepoint on the material i used.

The only issue would be isolating the socket since there will be ice-forming on the CPU. I'm not sure how 24/7 would do with frozen water in the socket. You'll need vaseline and all.

The Vapochill mount was fixed. There where a few ways to put the computer and we've putted it on the side.

The specs where: AMD Athlon LE-1640 2.6GHz at 3850MHz (1.55v)
    2x 512MB PC6400 @ 625MHz 5-5-5-12 A/V-data
    Gigabyte M55S3. Ati radeon 3870 512MB

Temperature with the above setup (vid) was -44 idle and -36 to -31 load. Too bad the motherboard did not go higher then 1.55V otherwise 4GHz would be defenitly possible. I'll try to find a vmod for the M55-S3 and if not it was a hell of an archievement anyway
