mother of gawd Sam... that is a wicked lens... the DOF it gives is like no other lens i have seen...
it might be me but this pic and the other almost have a tilt-shift look to them, an ever slight one but your eyes are so drawn to the focal point that it really makes it feel,,, odd,, but good...
i realise your post processing those shots but wow man... just wow....
know anyone with the 85mm 1.2 ? i'd love to see your work on that lens.....

any chance you would have time to do a 50D vs 5D MKII w/ that lens just to show the diff. between FF and crop with that lens ? (same subject matter)

I guess I could test it out on the 50D this weekend.
Also the post processing isn't that heavy. Just a small adjustment of the tone curve.

Nice DoF on that lens, but keep in mind its not going to give you its best sharpness until its stopped down to at least f/2, f/2.8, f/3.2. That's when those lenses really shine.

I think its f3.5 - f4 where that lens REALLY shines and 85mm + f4 will still give you crazy DOF

Nope, majority of the fast primes suffer from this when shot wide open on a FF sensor. PP slightly darkens it too since I usually darken the sky.
