I love the color splash parrot neo. Very well done.
Can I get an opinion on these two? Which do you guys prefer. Any criticisms?

Thanks for the input. They were taking in spot metering with shutter priority which worked much better than I thought it would. I've taken the pictures down for now. Back up.

It's hard to say tbh. In the first one I really like the contrast between the dark background and the bodies, but the fire is too bright and you lost a lot of details (like flames etc.)

In the second pic the fire is awesome, really detailed and the flames are clearly visible. The background is a bit too dark but the darkness makes the fire pop out a lot. And for me the best one is the second pic.

But this is just my opinion, I'm a noob at photography, so take it as a personal preference

Great shots I really love the flames in the 2nd shot, the flames are lown out in the 1st. I don't know how you'd meter for correct exposure here perhaps spot metering?

messing around with my 70-300, i cleaned the lens and realized its a macro lens :O so i messed around with it

Then went to a soccer game with it, 550 photos. was a pain to edit them all. was a Tamrom 70-300 lens and was alot sharper than i realized

1:1, 1:2 and so on refers to a lenses maximum reproduction ratio. Which basically means it's size across a 35mm piece of film. A 1:1 ratio gives you a true to life size making the image almost appear enhanced. In order to get a 1:1 reproduction ratio you need a lens capable of 1:1 ratio and you would need to take the shot at the lens's minimum focal distance. This also becomes difficult due to any movement is exaggerated exponentially. 1:1 can also be achieved with extension tubes on lenses that are not capable of 1:1 ratio.
