Spiders are good, I keep them as pets...................well not really , I just leave em alone because they keep down the other pests like flies and mossies
Shot this last week in my backyard, looks like an Agelenidae spiders web but could also be the deadly funnel web spider, I wasn't brave (or silly) enough to find out

That picture would look so much nicer if you zoomed out just a tad... A tad more... Keep going... I'll tell you when to stop... Your house is now just a single pixel and we can't see the web? Ok good, but keep going...
Move out temporarily and use this to get rid of it:
Ok seriously, I'm just kidding.
Nuke that .

This one took almost 30 attempts, I started with a soft-focus filter and finally settled on a heavy defocussing. I quite like the look, although I know it won't appeal to many.

My new favorite one...
Nikon D3000+standar 18-55mm @18mm
iso 100 f/4 1/200 iirc
have to get a better lens, there was a guy fishing by the rocks and that would be awesome to capture...
Awsome picture , sunrise is always great to capture in images Crusty , where was this picture taken ?
With the looooovely weather about recently, I haven't had the chance to go out and do much shooting, nor have we gone anywhere worthy of shooting. However, thanks to Valentine's day, I was able to get a couple fun shots of my wife's flowers.
Most of these were shot with the on-camera flash and a cheapo hot-shoe mount diffuser (the white one of these...got it in a kit ages ago). I don't have a real flash, so you work with what you've got. They were shot RAW with some white balance and exposure tweaking, plus a crop here and there and that's about it.
Canon 70D, EF-S 18-55mm STM
f/5, 1/6 sec, ISO 400, 44 mm, No flash
f/5.6, 1/60 sec, ISO 100, 55 mm, flash fired
f/5, 1/60 sec, ISO 100, 37 mm, +0.7 eV, flash fired
This last one is easily my favorite. It felt like resizing it hurt the image unfortunately. In case anyone is interested, you can get the full resolution version here but it's 5MB (download button in the upper right, fourth from the left).
f/5.6, 1/60 sec, ISO 100, 55 mm, flash fired
There are a couple more here, but these were the best of the lot.

Man BZ, both of those night shots are amazing. Looks like you've decided to forego sleep the last couple nights. :p
EDIT - Guess I should post a photo too. This is after shooting those birds yesterday.

^ was that taken with a 35mm lens ???, tripod ??, have you altered the colour/hue as it seems to be the wrong shade IMHO
I wish we had a moon that is easier to shoot here in west Oz, its so small you'd need a x1000000 telescope
lots and lots of cores and lots and lots of tuners,HTPC's boards,cases,HDD's,vga's,DDR1&2&3 etc etc all powered by Corsair PSU's
Shot with M43
Micro 4/3, Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1 with 45-200 mm lens, 90-400 35 equalent.
I needed much more powerful telezoom, but still wanted to try, check the 'full size picture' to see how small it actually was.
The colour is spot on, according to my own eye, not sure if polution of the city or what did it, but it really was blue/grey'ish, lacking the slight brown that you often see.

^ Nice........very nice
2nd attempt @ BIF, one thing I picked up in my reading was to wait for the birdy to come to me, so basically just be patient and to up the frame rate
