    Custom size metal enclosure

Does anyone have a good source for custom metal enclosures?

I don't have the tools or knowledge to make one myself so I have been trying to find someone who makes them.

I considered wood but I really dont want to go that route....

There are a few sheetmetal shops in Atlanta that'll at least cut out and drill holes into panels for you. You can then build a frame out of tubular aluminum/steel and assemble a large case that way. For a small case you can have something bent in a sheet metal shop but it will cost you a bit. I tried once and it was going to cost me a little over $200 for a single case just for labor. The downside of living in the south, not many sheet metal shops from what I've seen.

You can build your own with a minimum of tools. Take a look at the link below. Total cost for that case was well under $100 and it's all aluminum, in steel you can knock another $25-$30 off the price. I bought the metal cut to size and local hvac place did the bending for $25. I used epoxy paint on that case, but I highly recommend powdercoating, even the best paint job is much more susceptible to chipping than powder coat.
