Tetedeiench : Here is what 15 minutes of polishing the design can result in:

Removed the jaggy pixelated curvy edges, the offset text and stuff like that

If you want I can send you the PSD

Edit: For some reason the forum is interpolatig images... and makes them look a little worse than they are (at least on my pc), click to see it the way it should be: http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/260/occstoz2.png
It looks much better imho, but for the on and off buttons i don't really like (plus i would not be able to do the graphics like "mouse over" "disabled", etc.

Can you send me the psd to iench 'at' ocbase 'dot' com ? i'll work on it and integrate yours (well, at least, part of your design). But true, it looks much better, i like the "bumpy" feeling it has.

Oh, and be aware that there are a few programming issues, mainly implying that modular parts (monitoring, sysinfo, the parts whose size do change) need to have a background of the same color from top to bottom (i'm using "lines" that stack up).

And if you could make the buttons a tad less shiny, and in the following state :
    * Normal (as on your screeshot)
    * Lit (the mouse is over)
    * Down (user clicks on it, usually i take the lit one and make it darker)
    * disabled (unlit, dark...)

    I would be really happy

    Edit:
Is it normal to get CPU usage drop to 50% or it is my system .

Edit 2: The GPU OCCT is insane it took my 4850 Zalman cooled to 90c , the highest i have ever seen with that card was 70 @ stock
The GPU MEMTEST gives me 4418 error along the 10 loops , it starts with 4200 error in the first loop

For linpack Yes, there's always a CPU usage drop.

GPU OCCT : told you it was good

GPU Memtest : can you tell me : what card do you own, and which drivers are you using, under which OS ?

I agree that looks much better. However, I personally don't care what the program looks like as long as it works and works well. I can't wait for the proper SLI/CF support for GPU testing, hopefully it will be able to support not only dual GPUs, but tri and quad configurations as well! Great work Tetedeiench!

    Works fine here.

edit: tested with the new CPU, think you might have a slight issue with your Nehalem compatibility.. :p

AIO multi-component stress tests, this has great potential.
Testing now on vista64 and no problems seen.
Looking forward to the final product!

When it comes to testing systems or doing some stuff you just really really want to work thumbrule > uglier is better works really well.
Its great we got people who make these programs so even idiots like you can use it.

We don't need a nice thread to break down into name calling. You're breaking forum rules by doing so.

In testing my current OC with the beta version, I selected OCCT testing with medium FFTs. I believe that this is the same as the old mix? But, my CPU load does not go to 100% in all cores -- in fact, it only goes to 100% in one core and the rest as low as 60-75%. Do I need to select anything else?

And when I set up 2.0.1 with speed fan, I remember it giving me a hint about which values to use (a short strig from speed fan?). This version only gives me the raw values and I need to guess. Is this part just not fully implemented yet?

    Thanks!

Then again, I'd rather have people concentrate on actual content rather than on the outlooks. This applies to everything. Games, apps, hardware, cars, girls...

OCCT has great content indeed, and now it has great outlooks, not too blingish.

(Though, the old layout and looks made OCCT be and feel OCCT. It was unique. :|)

Only two cores get temp monitoring, and one core is apparently 8 degrees.

For me the Linpack test does not work. It does not produce any load on any core independent from the settings. I'm using a MSI K9A2 Plat (790FX) mobo, Athlon 64 X2 @ 2800MHz and 4GB RAM. The PSU test is using linpack, right? The PSU test is only stressing the HD3850.

Sorry, i was away for a few days

Yes, it seems the Linpack test has problems with AMD CPUs, and thus the Power supply test as well. I'll look into this issue, as linpack should be running flawlessly on AMD CPUs, just as Intel Burn test does - after all, we're both based on the same library, and i checked : the very same version. Should be a parameter issue there.

As for the GPU test, i remind you it needs an update to correctly work on :
    * windowed mode (and thus error check as of now) with ATI cards under vista
    * with SLI and dual-GPUs cards in window/error check mode

For Vista 64, it seems to be working - i've been launching it successfully on this OS before. I don't know what's happening there...

Anyway, stay tuned for updates, they're coming along the way for sure However, i don't have any ETA as of now...

i ran tests on the OCCT GPU program, (WXP32/gf8800gts) and its error free results were absolutely accurate

i did come across a bug tho... if you use the extra custom temps, the voltage readouts disappear. (e8200 cpu)

PSU test doesn't work for me. Intel, ATI and Vista X64. It monitors for a minute and then tells me that the process was aborted by the user.
Everything else works though. A nice tool just got a lot better.
