I'd like to apologize for my post and delete it if possible. Unfortunately I was quoted twice, so it's all for moot.

board in stock @ Germany, my hand is flying around the trigger .... hmm. It sounds really tempting to try how far can this board push the i7 920. Sadly, haven't got a tri-channel kit and 1366 mounting on coolers :sigh:

    Bios my arss.....
I can fix this problem with a hardware mod....

Just a note--NewEgg has these for $270. Making it probably the best board at the sub-$300 price point.

Traditionally Biostar may be a budget MB manufacturer but I don't think this is meant to be a budget board. Maybe by x58 standards it cut just one corner I can note and that would be having only 6 sata connectors. Other than that this should be a solid board... If DFI doesn't hurry up maybe I'll consider buying this instead!

This should be in the same faith as the TPower P45--I'm highly considering buying this board for $270-280 shipped

Just ordered one from the egg this morning and over-nighted it. I should have it in place sometime this weekend, if all goes well. I am using an Asus P6T Deluxe right now, but have been very curious about this board for some time. My big concern is that it won't run all 12gig of my ram. I'm hoping it can...

That's really nice! I like how the multiplier is 23 -- the only reason IMO to buy a 940 is because it has a 24 multi. So I think this board with a 940 would be really special. The more I think about it the more I'm deciding to go with this board. Sure it only has 6 SATA ports, but I only have 6 hards drives (4 raid 0, 1 ram drive, 1 data drive) so it should be OK. I'm still a bit nervous though... Having always used asus, gigabyte, or DFI...

Thanks again for posting that link. What a monster overclock. I wonder what type of cooling they used. ((off to google it))

Board installed. It DOES work with 12gig ram!!! Sweet! Just as a quick benchmark, all settings the same as I had with my P6T Deluxe (except ram is at 1333 2T now, on P6T it was at 1333 1T). I got over 1000 points higher in 3dMark2006. Now, I know it doesn't mean alot, but it just tells me that this is going to be one awesome board!!!

One negative about the board so far and it was in the packaging, so it's not really a big deal at all. The stickers that are on the board, ie the ones that cover the lower pci-express slots and the memory slots would not come off very well. It took me an hour to make sure that all of the sticky parts left behind were completely removed and that none had gotten into the slots. Alot of boards have these, which are just for looks, but this is the first board I have tried out that they didn't actually just pull right off. Very crappy, but still only a cosmetic hit.

As far as operations go, however, this thing is a heck of alot more stable than the Asus P6T Deluxe that I replaced it with!

^^^ Please edit from now on instead of doing a double, then triple post...^^^

Anyways this is a killer board in the same fashion as their boards for P45... great bang for the buck!

Hi, got a few questions if you dont mind answering.

    1) Does the T-Power II Utility work fine with Vista x64bit?

    2) Can someone display bios screens?

    3) Are the voltage increments the same as Gigabyte/Asus X58 boards?

    4) Has anyone compared this board to Gigabyte/Asus X58 boards in terms of benchmarks? How does it compare?

    Tpower II has temp issue

Tpower II shows temp at 33C all the time, and use auto fan setting sets my CPU fan at 0%. My Zalman 9700 fan won't spin up even though it has a manual control with TpowerII .I used that to update BIOS because BIOS update failed from boot up. I don't think Tpower II is reporting the temperture right.
I sent an email to Biostar and uninstalled it for now until I hear back from them.
I got my Tpowerx58 at Superbiiz for $229+ shipping, I don't see it listed anymore.
I am also have heat problems overclocking it beyond 166MHz Bclk, can't pass Prime 95, too hot.

I have no issue running the T-Power II Utility on Vista64. I did some basic benchmarks with the hardware in my sig on both the P6T Deluxe and the T-Power and with everything at default/stock, the T-Power was faster. I know that 3DMark2006 is old and hated, but I got about 1000 points higher overall with the Biostar. As far as the voltages, I believe they are in the same increments.

Well I haven't got the board but have you tried updating the bios via a USB stick? Also have a look on the Biostar website, maybe a newer version of TPower II compared to the CD you recieve with the motherboard.

I updated bios with TPower II utility, USB stick failed for me.
And I only used the TPower II utility from the website.
I am running Win XP, Tpower II feels like it's designed for Vista, with see through windows, hard to see on XP desktop.

I've just read on "The Rebels Haven Forum" that their isn't no setting for 1333mhz under Dram Frequency.

How do you go about getting 1333/1600 & higher?

I'm guessing this needs addressing within a bios update, are the MSI/Gigabyte/Asus/Foxconn/DFI boards etc the same?
