    between me and a buddy of mine, we went thru 7 total chaintech mobo then gave up on them. I now run a KV8, and I am not sure what my bud ended up with. But on my 1st chaintech it ran for 6 hours then a trace blew on the back side of the mobe. my 2nd one never posted, my third one ran for week then the bios would corrupt, over and over again. my 4th had 2 dead mem ports. my buddy had various problems with his, no 2 had the same problem. I really wanted the chaintech board, but I had to give up on it. Can't say that I didn't give it a chance.

    Now with the KV8, i am up and running smooth with a small OC (2.4 on H2O)

    20 of the brand new athlon64 3000+ 0352 xpmw have arrived in my country. luckily two days ago i sold my 3200+ 0330 upmw and soltek mobo. it was always my chip holding me back needing 1,7vcore to do 2.2ghz on air through prime95. so lucky me it's time for my second personal athlon64 rig.

    this is the best i cracked on air. only vgpu mod. 2 sticks of hyperx at 2.8vdimm. can't wait to give these babies some more juice

    I posted earlier and i just poped off my water block. And guess what?! I got a brownie. Bot sure if was this thread that noticed the brown chips where running better but mine will do 240+ on stock vcore. heres a pic of the chip.     Yeah prime 95 stable. But my memory cant keep up to it so its set at 333 in the bios but i think it runs at 202 or 404 mhz or somthing closed to that. but yeah i am trying to get my ram to go higher mhz so that i can see what this baby can do.

    Although of accademical interest these max hypertranport speeds do little for me when the cpu speed is so low. I can understand wanting to to have 400x5 rather than 200x10 if you are going to run at 2000, but when the total of the multiplier and clock speed goes down then you have struggled and struggled just to make your machine slower.

    I have to agree....fun to do (once) but seems an awful lot is being made of it and I don't see why? Unless maybe to test your ram?

    The rather amusing thing is that this thread is called athlon64 overclock record and that chap on his crystalcpuid has managed a fantastic overclock of -32.7%

    I can imagine the champers being cracked open when he reaches 500Mhz ... that will be a mighty 2Ghz total

    To save you working it out, that's an AMD rating of 3200+

    That's nice and everything but what does it prove? I don't care if it's FSB 37,788 if it's clocked at 1ghz or doesn't affect benchies. I'd be much MORE impressed by 9 x 315

    yes this is BH5 all corsair that are v1.1 are BH5, i even have some myself

    and keep up the good work guys sooner or later well solve the A64 death problem definitively and maybe some poor processors will be saved
