I've never personally used that 3M product. Since you didn't state it in your post; What did you plan to use the liquid electrical tape for? I'll assume protecting your mother board from condensation?

Eraser and dielectric grease in the socket, along with some on the CPU pins.

wow i really like that eraser idea! thats ingenious. i do have a question when it comes to the socket. im using a LGA775, do i need to put dielectric on the whole bottom of the proc? just the open connections on the bottom? in the entire socket or just the middle? im going to be using this 24/7 so go based on that.

Yes, with Phase you need to apply grease to the pins, in the socket and on the proc of the CPU.

Loc.o, the thread poster of the eraser idea above even stated you should use some.

    If it were me:
Back plate -> Neoprene -> Motherboard -> Tape -> Dielectric grease (CPU) -> Eraser -> Regular neoprene

Make sure when using eraser that you build layers upon layers. I'd build the eraser level up to the cpu heat spreader's height. Tape off the mosfets and such, then build the eraser right up to them. That way you won't have eraser sticking to those components directly (Helps for easy removal).
