    i7 and X2's Packed in tight !

Couldn't wait for my Coolermaster ATC and 965 to come in so I crammed what I had into my CM690 case(940 ES). Sore Knuckles, but it was worth it. Just some shots to show the layout if anyone is interested.

    Now unpacked !

That cooler is a beast. Reminds me of a V8.

I reccomend some zip-ties for cable management. Cheap & strong.

    Well,
packed in this tight of a case, I have a 940 ES @ 3.2, and it idles about 43C and climbs to mid 50's with a 100% load. I don't know what people are getting with the stock fan, so I don't know if that's good or bad. I have a 965 EE, and a Coolermaster ATC case on the way, and should be here tommorrow, so I'm curious what that will do as far as temps around 3.6GHZish.

I can tell you that this set-up is much quieter than the Zalman CNPS9700 I had in here before. Same case and fans, but the switch to the V8 from the Zalman.

Don't know if I will get around to any benches until I get the 965 in there. I didn't have the time to do a clean Vista install, I just migrated the old OS over, and that was a RAID 0 and RAID 1 array. The P6T picked the old arrays up fine, but there's a few quirks. So I'll hold off on the benches until I get a clean install on here.

    Which store ??

Rampage 2 Extreme's have just landed at the wholesalers. Picking up a couple tomorrow.

Should be a good comparison coming up. Building two systems up using i7 extremes / Rampage 2 Extremes / OCZ gold tri channel.

One system is using Tri Sli with GTX 280's and the other with 4870 X2's in crossfire.

OCZ SS drives and Vista 64

Everything is being watercooled in both.

OC'd to 3750 @ 1.28V idle is low to mid 30's and and heavy loading is 60's. That is after honing the base flat. The V8 had about a .008" convex bottom on it out of the box, which is about the worst I have seen. Before honing, loads went op to 80's and idle was mid
40's. Keep in mind, this case is very well balanced so YMMV.

Kinda funny - the one charactersitic that makes or breaks a cooler and Coolermaster overlooks it.

Nice build Randy. I just ditched my V8, wasn't cutting it above 3.9ghz and that's a shame for this 920. What other voltage changes have you made?
