Either one as long as it's an E0. Your big typhoon will be fine; I'm using one now.

I heart gomeler!
But what kind of Corsair? Is it DDR2 800 or 1066. etc.?
If you have lower clocking RAM, then I would go for the E8500 due to the higher available multiplier. You'll end up with a higher cpu clock. If you have 1066 or higher rated, then either would be fine, you can always drop the multiplier, you just can't raise it.
