Well at least the PWM and NB/SB are separated. I don't know if cooling the X58 chipset and PCIe controller will yield anything but the option will be much easier this round. No more 50 pound chunk of metal to remove

WoW... very nice board!!
Its a nice price yes I dont like the northbridge cooler which is a recycled design from the 790i all other comments im waiting for results but judging by the logos and relationships I wouldnt be surprised if nvidia cards perform better on this mobo then ATI I love EVGA great service and warranty I might Grab this board its between this and rampage 2 extreme question is who has had good luck with nvidia chipsets well asus especially rampage series but the price will be high ultimately I will wait and see how they perform I really hope EVGA has a winner.
Check it out, Extreme Cooling Mode And adjustable PWM.

Holy crap!!! Got any more pics for us?
My Rig can do EpicFLOPs, Can yours?
Once this baby hits 88 TeraFLOPs, You're going to see some serious $@#%....
Build XT7 is currently active.
Current OS Systems: Windows 10 64bit
people are actually going to buy these motherboards after the 680i Motherboard fiasco
SuperMicro X8SAX
Xeon 5620
12GB - Crucial ECC DDR3 1333
Intel 520 180GB Cherryville
Areca 1231ML ~ 2~ 250GB Seagate ES.2 ~ Raid 0 ~ 4~ Hitachi 5K3000 2TB ~ Raid 6 ~
I was almost interested in buying an EVGA board this time, if it wasnt for the Nvidia propaganda and color scheme.
LMAO...............ok let me set you straight there, you seem to be confused.
1 - 680i was an nvidia chipset, designed by nvidia, made by foxconn
2 - eVGA has the best customer service of anyone, no one in the industry can compare
3 - eVGA did not design or manufacture the 680i, they were the distributor.
4 - eVGA now designs their own board, they have hired old staff from epox to work on them, including the FTW boards.
This board is going to be totally different when it comes to comparing it with older eVGA boards.
Im pretty sure you will not see the x58 section on the eVGA forums plagued with memory related problems

jakup care to explain what exactly "xtreme cooling mode" does ?
from customer's point of view tis probably is cool. but from business it's very lame. If the company does not care why their product misbehaves they will never be able to fix the original problem - thus customer will still complain on same issue over and over again.I like evga as a company, I didn't like my 680i's but at least EVGA replaced my 680i 5 times without asking a single question

I'd wager it's similar to BlackOps' cold bug fix? Bleeds miniscule current into cpu before post cycle? maybe?
Given the humongous NB heatsinks in x58 boards it seems like we'll have one hot potato on our hands...maybe?
awsome price for a X58 EVGA = alot more for less $$!! gotta love EVGA!

I wish they would have painted the PCI slots black & green too.
