Is there a step-Up option for this board (EVGA X58)?!

I have a 790i SLI FTW Digital and i want to change for I7.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it is possible to upgrade from a 790i FTW Digital to an EVGA X58 - but not from an EVGA X58 to the EVGA X58 FTW.

Remember that 790i FTW board you signed for me? Well, I kept the box but sold the board. Sorry! I'm just craving an X58.

Do these run CF as well or not? Would be amazing to finally be able to choose any graphic cards with any board.

    Yep,

Lovely how eVGA does not have a simple logo for that on its box but has like the full front covered with nVidia propanda. I dont care about the cover really, it looks nice actually, but at least put up the CFX logo

However, since it's supplied by the X58 chipset, they dont have to do it but still... 1) It's stupid as not everyone knows X58 does supply CFX and 2) just sad

Anyway, they can be happy though since there's a lot of Intel users who turned anti-nVidia, which Im pretty sure resulted in less sales on the motherboards from eVGA. Now it comes with Intel chipset, SLI etc. But well, they ain't the only one either, I guess this is for a very specific consumer group

Still don't like that board layout, but I'm unlikely to get i7 for a while, so that's no huge loss

I think it's just fine... what's wrong with it?

If I go i7 this is the board I'll get... definitely
And since this is an eVGA board nobody's gonna whine if I choose to watercool the NB

NB heatsink definately will prevent massive CPU HS installations, but is neat thing for water cooling.
And why there are whole 3 heatpipes coming out of SB ? Seriously guys - just put a heatsink there and you're done. Now it just dissipates NB heat.

It would be amazing if eVGA started making ATI cards now since their boards support X-Fire. But thats just wishful thinking.

Assuming this one actually debuts at $299 (which I doubt, especially at Newegg), the FTW Digital BRB model should go for about $349.
