    P5q And Windows 7

    Hi every one
    I try to install this beta version of windows 7 on my p5q with no hope
    befor the last step of installation the blue screen appear and the installation stop
    try many dvds with variable speed
    try the same dvd with gigapyte EP35-DS3R and the installation done well
    replace the ram with the ram in EP35-DS3R and the same error
    try many version of bios and the same
    2500K 4.5GHz 1.28v Batch L104A540 / CM hyper 212 Plus / ASRock Z68 Pro3 (1.3 UEFI) / Geil EVO Two 2x2 1600C8@1866c9 1.6v / COUGAR CM 700W+ Haf 932

    seems like a driver issue, if it is, disable the component in bios and install drivers after windows install
    ; might cause your pc to crash tho

    what driver can i disable befor installation
    any guid for this driver

    The onboard sound
    the onboard network
    the onboard IDE
    surely some other stuff..

    install as simple as possible, 1 disk in first sata, one dvd or even virtualdrive within the previuos installatioin.

    I try to disable all of them
    with no result
    the same problem

    I wonder if any one have the same prob. with this mobo. or this is an odd situation

    This was also a problem when vista was beta with some asus boards.My p5w needed a bios upgrade for it to install.

    I also disable the oc.

    but many of my frinds install it with the same mobo. with the same bios version
    so may be my one have some diff.
