Thumbs up How To: Volt Mod the GeForce 9800GX2

VR-Zone posted up an interesting tutorial on how to volt mod a 9800GX2. I wouldn't dare try this to my own precious card though. The fact of Stepping-Up to the 9900GX2 is far much more important than a voltage mod at this point.

    Tutorial:
The NVIDIA 9800GX2 has just hit the shelves and at VR-Zone, we work out the Voltage Modifications before anything else. Here's a little preliminary modifications for those who are flying the soldering iron, and SLIcing up some double patties.

MODIFICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY PRELIMINARY. TEST AT OWN RISK.

If the pictures aren't explanation enough I would suggest you don't do it. Big chance of frying your card if you don't know what your doing.

For example, it can kill your card in an instant - if you don't know exactly what you're doing.
Once applied, it will also dramatically increase power consumption and accelerate the natural degeneration of the card.

But it is possible it could also gain you a little higher OC.
