The guy at a PC store near me says he has a 600w power supply in stock for $60, which seems like a steal to me. The problem is, it's a brand I've never heard of... "Geiler" (Geeler? Gieler?). So my question is, has anyone heard of this brand?

Nope, never heard of them. My advice: rather stick to a brand name (and pay the premium) when choosing a PSU or you could risk damage to other PC components.

There are good quality PSUs brands that have top notch PSUs for about $60. If we knew your system specs we could point you to an afordable option to suit your needs.
