How would you handle stolen benchmark Scores ?

It is "more" of a thought example.

The sorry before you make a choice

A group of you and your friends get together and bench.
You have alot of fun at your house and everybody from your team Brings hardware

Over all it was a GREAT EVENT.

1 week later you find out that your good freind has submitted the results your team made in his own name, and for another team
You try and explain that it isent his results, because he diden´t even own any of the hardware
he cant understand anything, even 1½ hours of phone call dosent help, he denies to remove the scores from the other teams hwbot team. And you cant even make him understand that it is wrong!!!!!!!!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO ?

Have the same discussion explaining it to him again but this time while holding a baseball bat in your hand.
One with a 14" spike driven thru the end actually helps the person understand the degree of your anger.
USING that baseball bat on them definately impresses upon them the severity of your anger..

I would do exact same thing, and HWBOT would deffinantly take action!
My advice, report the guy.... Must be really annoying... No doubt they will do the right thing!

If you keep his hardware without paying for it, you're no better than him.

Other than that I fully agree with dinos here. Report the entry and the friendly bunch over at HWbot will undoubtedly take action.

Mouth off to everyone about him, and your keeping the cooler, will imho only reflect poorly on you.

Take the high road. Report him, give him back his cooler, and drop him from your friends list. Drop him like a hot rock.

He sounds like he's either: 1) a stubborn douchebag or 2) dumber than a bag of doorknobs. Maybe both. You're better off without someone like that in your group.

Well, it seems your friend is an . There is nothing much you can do but treat him the black sheep and never invite that particular individual again. Unfortunately, people can show their true colors at the worst times. Just be glad he didn't stiff you on something more important.

I'm sorry that I had to create this thread.
I'm sorry I had to make this a theoretical discussion so it dosent appear to be bashing.

I'm being pressured with a Law suite, A police report. Statements about me stealing for a 1000 Euro hardware, Stealing from a shop in Denmark.
I'm not afraid of what people in Denmark will think of me, most know me and know me and know what I stand for.

Other people are being brougth into this issue now, Xtreem legens here from XS are being badmouthed on danish forums because of this.
I Cant let this bring shame to their name, I cant let lies being told all over the place!

But seeking confrontation, Thrashing my name and claiming I bring shame to my familly is just to much.

MY PROBLEM NOW
Is giving a cooler back makes me look bad, It makes me look like I stole things from this person.
And this was only done to avoid violence, it dident work and I keep the cheap cooler.

If he owns the memmory he cant submit scores to hwbot in his own name, Nor can he claim here on XS that it is his scores!

Just give him his crap back, work with the HWBot team to delete the results, and remember to never bench with him/her again. Hope it all works out for you, hate when this hobby gets nasty.
