omg just realied a TRUE is Thermal Right Ultra Extreme!!
took me ages to work that out, was wondering what all u americans were on about TRUE this TRUE that!
LOL

LOL
TRUE Cu's box is all white, no more ugly brown cardboard boxes for this HSF
And it is insanely heavy! I was expecting a lot, but this makes the TRUE and IFX-14 seem like nothing
Beautiful heatsink though

I hope you have regular TRUE to compare!!!

If I dont get every single drop out of my cpu I feel like someone is stealing from me
Man, I must resist... I would like this in my air cooled rig.
could not leave the pic out of it in all it's glory
Well, now that I possess the heaviest heatsink known to man I can die in peace
I don't care what anybody says, this should NOT be put on motherboards that are in a vertical position. It would definitely do damage in the long run. I am starting doubt it even needs a bracket it is so heavy
Now you have an excuse for a benching table
FYI, I've started my testing for the my mini-review of IFX-14 vs. lapped TRUE vs. TRUECu. Will be awhile though....
8 fan configs x 3 HSF x 3 mounts for each x 2-3 styles of mounts for each = 168 planned tests. Each test takes ~20min. Plus any do-overs or anything.
Honestly considering adding an HDT-S1283 into the mix as well if it's going to take this long, I've always been curious about that little bugger.
I'll put up prelim results/impressions soon enough I guess.
I forgot that I'm testing it on 2 different CPUs as well...so, um, yeah....it's gonna be a lonnnng ass time
300+ runs, ~20min each. 100+ hours of just data collection.
omg that thing is so sexy! if I used air cooliong I may get it, but I'm a watery kinda guy.
I've done the first round of IFX-14 with stock mounting and have just begun TRUECu's first round with stock mounting....on my E6700.
The difference between a single 1300RPM fan on the IFX-14 and dual 2700RPM fans was ~9C. The difference between a single 1300RPM fan and dual 1300RPM fans on the IFX-14 was ~2.75C.
The difference between a single 1300RPM and dual 1300RPM fans on the TRUECu is ~9.25C. In fact, dual 1300RPM fans on a TRUECu beats dual 2700RPM fans on an IFX-14 by ~2.4C average load and ~1C peak load temp.
This is insane....just wow. If that kind of scaling continues, temps with high-speed fans will be incredibly low--a truly wonderful bench HSF (since it is, IMO, too heavy to mount in a vertical system).

will it ship with 1366 mountings in the future?
wow the TRUEcu was not looking good in single fan benchmarks. but if you push pull it seems like it will outperform all heatsinks and actually live up to its price. throw some san aces on that thing.
Those were just initial impressions/results....if I were an observer, I'd wait till I start putting up more data for further conclusions
I installed mine today and it seems to be doing fine on on my 780i motherboard mounted vertical, I had my doubts about installing this monster but she is steady as a rock, I'll check in from time to time and will let you know if the thing rips my CPU socket off the board through the night lol.
