    Asus P5Q3 deluxe headaches!!!

I got this board about 2-3 weeks ago and really cannot figure it out. I was previously running a P5K3 Deluxe with great success with various kits of memory ie D9 micron at 1800mhz+, B Micron 4gb kits at 1800mhz plus, Samsung kits at 1800+mhz and some others at less frequency but very stable.

Now I get this board and I cannot do anything stable past 1400mhz or so. I can boot to OS on one of my Micron D9 kits at 8-7-7 at 1600mhz or so. But it will error at some point in prime.

Do I have a bad board?
I read another thread on this board and people either seemed to love it or hate it. Unfortuneately, I seem to be in the later catagory .
I can exhange it at newegg I beleive, but I think I'm past my refund stage as I bought an open box board :/
    it's never fast enough!

well, I had one for a while, and had the same troubles, I sold it. but the secret with P45's is auto settings are your friend. try ocing with just changing your fsb, cpu volts, memory timings and frequency and memory volts. see what happens.

same here, is a memory issues board. Can only run 1600Mhz at 9-9-9-25 only at 2vdimm with 4 sticks...no way it gonna past 1650Mhz speed and beyond, even at 2.2Vdimm.
It work only 2 sticks in dual channel at 1800Mhz 8-8-8-24 or 8-7-6-21.
2000Mhz very unlikely can do it, needed at least 2.2vdimm and not stable.
Can run 1 sticks at 2000Mhz at 2.1Vdimm.
    Using Kingston Hyper X 1800Mhz, is D9GTR.
