Just got done setting the final 24/7 clocks for my new Core i7 Rig. Went caseless on this one Sadly, I hit a pretty hard wall at 214 BCLK and clouldn't even think of getting stable until 211. I was testing at 215-218 BCLK, but needed suicide voltage to do it

I'm driving the pump and radiator fans with a old AT power supply, so as not to draw off my main system PSU.

I added a homemade shroud to the radiator after this pic:

    Adding PSU and boot HDD

Final Clocks & voltages for 24/7: With my DMM, vDIMM measures 1.66 with these settings, and vCORE 1.48. Most volts are set to stock. Messing with the PLL voltages only seemed to cause more instablitiy for me.

try messing with 21 or 19x multipliers. I find that 20x multi is harder to get stable than those

    A small contribution:

Vcore 1.336v under stress, VTT 1.3685 in bios, varies between 1.35 - 1.4v.
    1.74v on the ram, G.Skill 1333mhz cl9

Hi again! I just sort of got back into the swing of things with my 6 month system based on core i7 and want to get some refferances on some basic OC profiles to start with.

System is ASUS RAMPAGE II GENE with i7920 DO stepping batch 397B85 Date not Known but replaced it only last month. OCZ Platinums 7-7-7-24 2x 2g 1600 and a new pair of Curucial Ballistics again same type but 8-8-8-24 on the way for looks but can use either. hoping to get DDR 1800 out of one of these kits . I will try my best with my bad eyes to back trak the hundreds of post in the last year but if anybdy is cool enough to link me to your post or others where I can read more that would be cool. I am open to sample profiles for refferance starting points.

    Thankx in advance!

I would like to ask a simple question. I run WCG all day long at 21x208@1.375v. But when i run linx at 21x205@1.375 it fails after 4-5 passes. Am i stable or not?

IMO, yes you are! As long as you are 24/7 stable doing whatever you are doing, you should be satisfied, no matter what other stress testing programs show.
    Just my philosophy.

So what I have been gathering from this thread lately is that the i7 920 D0's aren't doing as well? I have a 920 C0 and wondering if I should buy a D0 or get a W3520.

As donmarkoni said, if you have full stability doing whatever you do, then you are fine. I run WCG all day as well if it doesn't fail why should I not consider it stable?

I personally don't believe there is such thing as a "good batch" I've seen some batches that have great clockers and horrible clockers. With the i7 I think you just need to get lucky man.

Yep, really not batch dependent at all.

As long as it's a D0 it should overclock better than the C0 I have now?

I would say about 98% yeah, should clock better. At least mine did. A good 500 MHz better or so

My C0 did 4.2Ghz HT Off @ 1.36vcore/1.4vtt, my D0 is doing 4.2 HT On @ 1.33vcore/1.25vtt and 4.35Ghz HT on @ 1.375vcore/1.25vtt. I can even bench at 4.6Ghz HT On. There are some crappy D0 as well, but generally yes D0 clock better than C0 batches

Just got the new D0, burning it in right now. Is it me or do the D0's seem to run a little warmer than C0's?
