    Rampage II Extreme is only 2,5cm wider than ATX standard

    ATX = 305 × 244 mm
    E-ATX = 305 × 330 mm

    RIIE = 305 x 269 mm

    aha i c so the holes on the motherboard are still on the same place then it's just that the print plate is a bit longer.

    Well what I really meant to ask was if vDIMM has a safety limit of 1.65v like reference Intel board & like P6T?

    Or does it have a CPU/QPI independent vDIMM voltage as announced for MSI Eclipse?

    Hope that's a clearer question.

    Thank you

    I would be also interesting to know which would be a maximum safe (tested) voltage for the vDIMM. Thanks!

    There is a warning in the bios about using 1.65v+ for vDIMM.

    Here is some overclocking with 6x1GB (3x A-DATA, 3x Crucial):

    Not bad Seems there's no issues with many sticks.

    I also did a quick comparison with Dual- compared to Triple-channel.

    DC:

    TC:

    Not a big difference at all. The higher bandwidth seems to be mostly due to the IMC.

    Elmor, thanks for the info.

    It's now clear that Rampage II has the same RAM safety limits as reference boards & has not made an independent voltage regulation for RAM.

    Very good results with 1600 speeds.

    How's the height of the heatsink right next to the soundcard ?
    If we break the first two rows of fins on the heatsink, is it possible to instal a larger pci-e soundcard ?
    Or is the base higher than the pci-e slot ?
    And what about heat on SB / NB ?
    Any need of watercooling ?

    For any of you guys in the UK, the board is now listed at both OCUK (£340) and Scan (£309) although not in stock:

    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...%20Motherboard

    http://www.scan.co.uk/product.aspx?P...7436&ms=msso16

    Looks like OCUK are a bit overpriced atm. Anyhow, this looks like an awesome board, and when i make the switch to nahalem i will most likely pick one up to replace my RE.

    As I wrote, it's 3x Crucial Value 1333MHz D9GTS and 3x A-DATA Vitesta 1600+ (D9JNM).

    Voltage was about 1.95v.

    yes it will fit. See RIIE Manual 2-49

    This ROG motherboard has an open standard fitting specification, allowing third

    I really want this board, but my student credit card limit is €350 max.

    I need to find a place that sells for around 340 or 350 with postage included.
