I'm havim a problem here and need help to solve it!
My rig:
E8400 C0
UD3P
Gskill PC2-6400HK 2gb
So, i'm trying to find the best stable spot to 24/7.
The problem is, when i set fsb above 475, the board won't post, actualy it gives a continuous short beeps.A've already tried give more voltage, and loose even more the timmings but no sucess!
Here's my setting:

What do you think it might be?With 475fsb and these setting i get a 12h orthos stable on blend test.Voltages are already a litlle above needed.
By the way i'm using F7a bios.
Get rid of the .5 multiplier and set XMP to disabled. Also, 4GHz may be close to limit on a C0 stepping or just your particular cpu. Is LLC enabled? Do not use normal settings in voltages section, use auto or set manually. Try auto in advanced timing control except for command rate.

Yes, LLC is enabled.I've tried those settings but no success.Thoght the beeping is gone now, but no POST.
The weird fact is that it happens above 475.With 476 fsb it won't post!Strange!My guess is that there is some setting left in Auto that is changing past 475fsb and is crashing the board, but i'm not seeing whitch one!
Now settings are like this:

Didn't work!
What did work was setting (G)MCH Frequency Latch to [400]!
Now is up and running!Testing orthos for 10 minutes now!
Looks like this ram like 400 latch!I've never been able to get this fsb in this board and now i know why!
stasio...any plan on gigabyte fixing the buggered S3. I just got EP45T-Extreme few day ago. The S3 still doesnt work properly with quad when oc to 9x500 and 8.5x500 just like UD3P. It wont post and just keep rebooting when wake it up.
I start to think that all p45 gigabyte mobos has this problem. Is it fixable or just a plain flaw?

does anyone have, or no where to get bios F3 for the UD3P?

I'm getting pretty sick and tired of bios after bios for the UD3P....mean while their has only been one official bios update for the UD3R. I mean cmon gigabyte its not like we are talking a $300 motherboard vs. a $100. If I knew the support was gonna be so good for the UD3p vs the UD3r, I wouldve paid the xtra $20!

There never was an F3 release for the UD3P. First release BIOS was F4 and now F5. There are a few betas out as well.
There are two official BIOS for the UD3R and two for the UD3P. There are two more beta for the UD3P vs the beta for the UD3R. So there are really only two additional for the "premier" board and there still only beta.
UD3R = F3 - F4 - F5 beta
UD3P = F4 - F5 - F6 beta - F6d beta -F7a beta

Chill man UD3P is the hottest board atm. Of course Gigabyte will be trying to fix/improve that one first. UD3R just doesn't have the demand that the UD3P does. Simple to comprehend over this way. These boards shouldn't break the bank. Just order a UD3P if you want the mainstream and you'll then have 2 boards for less money than any 1 of the closest P45 Competitors. Nothing wrong with having an extra $99 backup board in case u ever have a failure.

I wanted to buy a EP45-UD3P for Christmas, to replace my P35C-DS3R which tops out at about 480Mhz FSB with my E8400.
The only reason for this is the Board-Limitation of 1.3V MCH-Core
But seeing many having problems over 475Mhz with the UD3P makes myself overthinking the decision.
Deal or no deal?
regards

there,s always that 5% chance of getting a bunk board...no matter what model or brand it is..then you have the 25% of people that dont know what there doing even when they have a great board....or there only one setting short of there overclock...this is the hottest p45 to get right now...with out spending over $200...money aside...these new gigabytes are ware the candy,s at

i never have P35C-DS3R but been running a dual-core both 65nm and 45nm at 500FSB+ on a couple of P35-DS4's rev,1.0 boards for quite some while (since the board's released) now, no problem. so as far as i can tell it appears that your problem about getting your CPU over 475MHz FSB with the Gigabyte P35 based board can be not because of the motherboard.
about Gigabyte P45 UD3x boards, i'm not just yet a real fan of any mothertboard's model or makers, but i just find it a bit irritating when hearing things like that, and i was going to ask you the same, where are you getting the idea that it's able to go to only 475 FSB (and not more), otherwise, there will be a problem with your overclocking?
