oh ok i thought is was cause i was using the 4:5 divider.cause i still cannot get my 9650 or any cpu ive owned to run stable with 500fsb and thier original multiplier.its the hardest thing for me.it was the same thing with my e8400 / e8500 and now my 9650.with the 9650 i can get it to prime at 9x500 but it fails after one or two minutes no matter what i do.the only thing i havent been able to try is upping the vcore above 1.42 while under load.

Guys, I always assumed that the yellow dimms were the best to use, but has anyone tried the red slots. I think I might see if I can resolve my issue with the 2.4B strap not booting over 434FSB by switching slots or booting with one stick and then adding another.

WOW, I decided to do some wire management on my case tonight and while I was in it I did change from the yellow slots to the red slots. Guess what!? I can now boot into windows using the 2.4B strap and 1.34MCH at 470+FSB. On the other board I used if you used the 2/4 DIMM you lost a bit of memory performance, I haven't tested to see if my RAM performance went down any yet.

I got my EP45T-UD3P / DDR3; my first Gigabyte board, but i can't change anything at BIOS, it tries afew times and posts default, even can't change loadline calibration except CPU Eist/C1E/Thermal Monitor... at Advanced BIOS Features. I use ET & SetFSB as OC tools on windows without any issues...
Edit: Recently got F6A BIOS with @BIOS update tool...
Hey guys, i need advices, i`m very stressed with my settings... Some days ago i was using 800x5 very stable but no matter what i do i wasn`t able to rise the fsb to 505. And i decided to reduce the fsb and rise the multi, ok. And now i`m on 490x8.5 very stable as well. So my problem is no matter what i do i can get blend stable at any FSB over 491, ORTHOS fails and the computer restart after few minutes... Is there some limit for clock because i realize that i can`t go over 4.2ghz on blend test, even on lower FSB and high multi like 467x9. Well, i hope someone can figure out what is my problem. I had tested the whole thing with 3 sets of different memory (OCZ, Mushikin, Crucial Ballistix).

Yes guys, my 1.1 doesn't go over 430fsb in 5:6, also witch several voltages. And all is correctly setted.
In 1:1 goes over 430fsb, but it stops at 465fsb + or -.
But I want 600fsb, not 465. :asd:
But I don't understand why the mobo goes as I've explained.

can you post your BIOS setting at stock speed, 3.0ghz overclocked and 3.6ghz overclocked? we do have similar processor, motherboard and rams

I gave this a try this morning and it seemed to help my problem but not fix it. In the yellow slots I can boot up to 1.36mch, in the red slots I can boot up to 1.4mch and everest scores seem to be unchanged. Tonight ill try my 8500s in the red slots and see what happens.
I'm wondering if I can use DDR3 sticks on my EP45-UD3P... someplace I read that I can, somewhere else I read that I can't..
I also read that DDR2 and DDR3 sticks have a different notch to avoid trouble

Man, after I did that I sat there in my chair laughing at myself for not trying it before. One thing I have always seen people do when they are having RAM issues is try the other slots and if that don't work try booting with one stick. Like you said it helps but does not completely fix the problem. I am just glad I do not have to use ET6 anymore, I really did not like that program.

What's the best bios for the UD3P V. 1.1? Running latest f9a, but still open for suggestions. I have mixed first impressions, but I'll leave those for later. Still, I'm having some stretches of fun with this board.

So far with the F9A bios i've noticed two things. First being that one of my fans runs at 100% for the first 3 seconds of boot compared to none. Second is that raid initialization is pretty much instant now
the board they sent me back had F6 so i flashed it back to F5 cause i use a usb wireless keyboard and mouse and bio's past F5 have these two usb settings disabled by default and its a pain to have to use a wired keyboard after a clear cmos or set to optimized defaults to have to go in and enabled them.i havent tried the F9 ones yet.

I've tried every BIOS but the new F9a and they all seam fine for Quads. I currently use F8.
Radaja that is strange I clear cmos and I can get into BIOS screen with USB keyboard normally and then change these settings, you only lose USB Keyboard when you get passed RAID init screen.
@ Radaja: I can confirm both F6 and F9A work with my USB kb.
Well, F9A doesn't seem bad at all. I'm new to this board so I have no point of reference. This board is quirky to say the least; coming from the rampage formula in my sig. I thought I could throw stuff at it like I did on that board, well, I had a good lesson and paid closer attention and learned some few things. Ambients a huge problem for me now. It's about 75f in the computer room and grows to 80f+ when priming. I have decided to go slowly till I can improve the temps here. In any case, how about this for my daily summer clocks?

that is strange.my wireless usb keyboard just will not work until i go into the bios using my wired keyboard and go to the integrated periphial page and manually enable both keyboard and mouse.
