    help me over the hump

P4C800-3 mobo, P4 3.0 malay, under Mach II r404a bowman modded prommy.

Virgin to ASUS bios...and having trouble getting above 250 fsb using either 1:1 or 5:4 straps for mem settings. I've tried turning off Hyperthreading, PAT, Spread Spectrum etc.

I know I'm missing something simple, I want to be running at or above 4 gigs with this chip and should easily be able to. HELP!!!

Do these P4C800 boards undervolt the Vcore by nature? I noticed that Cpuz shows much less voltage to vcore than does the bios. I'm slowly raising the core voltage and running prime to check stability.

i had a problem similar to yours with my ic7. I found uping the vcore a notch to 1.55 helped it stay around 1.52 instead of the ridiculous 1.47 i was sometimes getting when it was set at 1.52
    Hope this helps
