    Razer mice scratching

My Deathaddler (3 months old) has become very prone to 'scratching' on the mousepad (Razer Exactmat, yes I'm a razer whore) and it seems that the center of the mouse is touching the pad rather than being suspended above it. Is this a common occurrence and is there any fix for it?

I've seen 3rd party teflon feet out there, do they work at all? And risking starting a war, do the feet on Logitechs wear out this fast?

Well it depends on how much pressure each person applies to the mouse. Same thing as mousepad discussions where user A says the pad will last forever and user B will post pics of said mousepad with a zillion scratches..

I used a deathadder for about 1 year and never had this issue...then again I don't apply much pressure at all, the base still looks pretty shiny, very few scratches. (my mousepad is a steelpad 5L btw)

Problem I had with my DA was different... If I was to hold on mouse1 and drag, the mouse would go nuts and click all over the place. I thought it was time to give up on it, and bought a new one.

Then I decided to take the old one apart hoping I could still use it in my old rig, I used some 99% alcohol to clean up the wheel and all the dirt I could find, and now the mouse is as good as new again.

When you take it apart to clean, you have to remove the original teflon feet.. I used this to replace the original ones: http://www.hyperglide.net/?hg=rz_skates_1

I find them just as good as the original feet, and as silly as this may sound, the package they come in are very well done (comes with alcohol pads, blank stickers that help you apply the feet without touching them, instructions and 2 full sets of feet). And pre-cut for the DA, so its a perfect fit.

I ordered a couple packs last year from that site, it arrived in a small letter envelope, regular mail from Singapore to Brazil, still only took 10 days. Maybe Frozen CPU still carries them too, haven't been to their site in a while...
