I can't take more 600MHz for Spi 1M But easy boot with the memory on Cas 4 with 5:6 .
Xtrem of nothing.
I can't even enter Windows at 500, and 450MHz randomly BSODs on two different E8600's.
I really hope there's something (very) stupid I'm missing.
I had same exact issue.
Setting CPU Clock Drive to 800, PCIe to 900 & CPU clock skew to 200 allows me to boot up to 550 but is maxed out at 600FSB.
I have had poor performing FSB wise mobo's before such as the Biostar T45 and DFI Dark and after rma'ing them both was blessed with some FSB monsters. Looks like I am going to have to do the same with this one.
any one know what water blocks work on the mosfits & chipsets on this MoBo ? I know the EK Asus3a looks to fit the mosfits
500Mhz @ 1.24V HyperPi 32M & 3D stable
525MHz @ 1.30V HyperPi 32M & 3D stable
550Mhz is hit & miss in H-Pi 32M, haven't really found the trick...voltage isn't it
Looks like some finesse is called for with this board.
So looking at the general results we can assume the initial posts were on cherry picked hardware.
Q9650 @ 4Ghz - 1.216v
E8600 @ 4500Ghz - 1.34v - Q822A435
Q6600 @ 4014Ghz & E2160 @ 3.6Ghz
Silverstone Zeus 850w, Maximum formula,
Custom Water Cooling, 4GB OCZ 9200 Flex II,
Xfire 4850's 800/1150, 3D Mark 06 , Vantage,
Frontlineforce
Ok, since I was having more luck in 3D than SPi I decided to go that route, it's looping 3DMark2001 at 600Mhz 1:1 PL11 S.C with 1.56 vNB
Not too pleased with the PL11, but should be able to lower it back down to PL 10 with some fine tuning.
Once above 500Mhz, the board auto sets 1.60VTT and 1.86PLL...might be overkill

it was the last test of my burned E8600 , VTT 1.55v ,vNB 1.6v. PL10
