MDPC-X SATA sleeve fits over the connector when the sleeve is "expanded" (when you order, Nils will provide a detailed guide). Absolutely no need to remove the connector

Sorry for the watermarks, but it has come to my attention that certain people are taking my photos, reuploading them, and claiming them as their own...

If anyone has an alternative solution please let me know

I have a quick question, what is the best way to get a nice, even shrink? With a heatgun? Or the misses hair dryer?

You can use everything - but you have to practise with it...
I use and used a lighter and will never use anything else.

You would sleeve an Ethernet cord! Very nice though, and thanks for the info. If greatly appreciated!

Saw a video where a guy used a lighter and it seemed to work very fast aswell, is great for me.

    Keep up the excellent work!

You should have just bought the MDPC-X right away and do it right from the beginning. There are thousands of types and offerings of sleeving around the world but only Nils has it all worked out for us.

True, very true.. Looking back now i should of.. but as usuall i was in a hurry with the new upgrade and wanted to get it runing right away and only needed some wrap for the fans atm. Planed to get the system up and runing and then figure out what i needed afterwads as i plan to replace every wire on the P/S and make my own custom length wires to what i needed.

Still plan to do that just gota wait a couple of weeks fo rthe wife to calm down after blowing so much so far. hehe.

Yeah, i'll be getting a very LARGE order with everything and tools as well when i do place that order! Cant wait for that.

I removed the capacitors on my cables... They weren't needed. Maybe back in the day, but video cards are built a hell of a lot better.

They may/maynot be needed. They are there to reduce signal noise (whine) from your PSU when plugged into your video card.

Some of my current systems have this whine--my guess is that most people do not notice it over their fans, but in my media center PC with a Corsair 620HX and a low profile 9800GT it is bad. I used to think it was the BDROM but after unplugging it I realized what it was.

After listening for it in my other PCs I noticed quite a few have it--but the sound of hard drives, fans (even low RPM ones) combined with the use of headphones covers it up.

Either way, they are not critical to your operation--only if you are a silent junky like myself. =)

I want to experiment by moving them closer to the PSU to make them work, or figure out a nice way of including them in the sleeve.

Moving them closer to the PSU essentially negates their effectiveness. Either leave them where they are or remove them completely and live with the consequences.

I think you need to keep the watermarks, Martin - I've seen your pics numerous times. I can always tell, because the sleeving / heatshrink is too perfect You're making me think I have to redo my latest attempts.

Martin, you are one of the best there is at sleeving, and I doubt the other three people would take credit for your work. =)

Personally, I think it detracts from your work as art. I understand you have a business and can emphasize with the frustration plagiarist cause, but eventually they will be found out.

At the very least I would ask you to consider moving the mark to the side, so that if a plagiarist crops it out they crop out the detail of the sleeve.

Anyways, I think your work is incredible art, and it should be treated and respected as such. Feel free to call out the thieves too, that never hurts

that's good to know. they sure look ugly. i see no point in sleeving while having those in place.
