uh no this is not what i meant:

In there the grey used is the light or dark one (seems dark)?

    but something like:
but with the colors i have in mind.
What do you THINK would look better? I thought a ratio of 2-black:1-vanilla sand: 1-light gray. Based on your experience and extremely good taste, what do u think?

I bought my MDPC sleeving, sleeved a lot of stuff (and it all looks fantastic) but when I did stuff like my 8-pin EPS and the 24-pin ATX I noticed that I was creating bulk, not getting it out of the way of my airflow. To be perfectly honest, I'm the kind of person that would rather not see wires at all. But I thought that while sleeving certainly was an aesthetic choice, it was also designed to control the wires in a build, which unisleeving doesn't do.

I am not saying the rigs don't look great, I just wonder about that (I tend to do a LOT of my modding dictated by perfomance first and aethetics second, which is why they all take so blasted much planning.) Anyone care to weigh in on that?

I finally figured out a way to sleeve my stuff in such a way that it provides benefits not unlike bundling it with floral wire as well as reducing its profile to get it out of the way of airflow, though it's probably not everyone's cup of tea (though neither is this, so we're even) and when I get my SS Zeus finished I'll post pics (in another thread, so as not to derail this one) so people can say if they like or don't.
When routing your wires behind your motherboard it can difficult shut the side door with a thick diameter 24-pin power cord. For example, try routing the 24-pin power cord of enermax revolution behind the motherboard of a 800D. Doable, but it is pita.

Besides many of us who sleeve spend countless hours with cable management and after the 36 + hours airflow is no longer an issue.

Xien16, quick Q about the pictures. Why does there appear to be grain/texture on 1/2 of the latest batch of pictures? I assume Nils didn't change the formula of the plastic, so is it just camera noise?

    Hi guys.

    I need your help.

I will sleeve the 24pin ATX cable from my new PSU (Silverstone strider plus 850W)

The cables supplied are great because there is no split on the PSU side from the 24pin ATX cable (for example on seasonic it is splitted into one 18 pin block and one 10 pin block).

My problem is that they mix all the GROUND, or +5V or +3,3V or +12V which means pin 3 on the 24pin block PSU side (which is GND) can be for instance on pin 7 on the 24pin block motherboard side.

And this is the same for the +5V or +3,3V or +12V cables stated above.

    1) Here is my question : Can i switch one GND cable to another GND, one +5V to another +5V, and so on? because the idea is to have for instance pin1 motherboard side go to pin1 PSU side, so my sleevings are nice and do not tangle.

I mean if i test with a multimeter and i have proper voltage values between the pins as depicted on the picture above it should not be a problem right?

    2) 2nd question : i have a cable going from pin 20 (PSU side) to pin 13 (motherboard side).

Pin 20 (formerly −5V, white wire) is absent in current power supplies; it was optional in ATX and ATX12V ver. 1.2, and deleted as of ver. 1.3.

So there are 2 cables going in pin 3(motherboard side). Can I remove this cable ? I do not see what it is used for ?

Thanks a lot for your help !!

I believe that the blue/black and white/black are paracord, and not plastic sleeve
