Maybe I'm doing it wrong then? Do you sleeve the wire and then stretch the sleeve while it's on the wire? Or do you remove it and stretch the hell out of it and then reapply it to the wire? I've been sleeving the wire and then trying to stretch it on the wire itself.

Stretch it while it's still on the wire. I shrink one end first, and then when it has cooled down hold it with one hand and pull the other end of the sleeve with my other hand. Then I hold it in place and shrink. Make sure that you keep your grip until the heatshrink completely cools, otherwise it may stretch the warm-heatshrink back a bit.

It's a lot less complicated than it sounds.

maybe you should just make a video of your perfect sleeving method so that anyone could have a clear idea how it is done.

Here is what i spent my afternoon doing:

Heatshrink alignment isn't great but i am happy with it

I also found an awesome way of sleeving.

This let me de-pin all my connecters in 10mins

    This works AMAZING.

you just push the connecter on the tool/staple and nudge the wire a little!

I love the color combo! The aquamarine and black really compliment each other well. Nice work!

omg, I don't have a good feeling for the pin-remover when I see it like that. I guess you have a good feeling in your hand-coordination-muscles, but I bet that many others would simply break the pin remover in seconds, because once you hold the connector "onto" the pinremover and just move it sideways etc. it will break the tips. I think it is a very risky advice, because it will give the most people not enough "fine-physical-feedback" that is usually needed for the pin-removal in general. Of course you are an exception, you seem to have your arms under control

man im trying to wrap my head around sleeving up these molex connectors on my corsair unit but looks like I might have to do thinck sleave on the psu end the sleav 2 wires per sleeve in order to make it look decent. just trick it has multiple heads so I can get single sleave over them.

Beautiful job cubefreak! The HX520 stickers upset the your build's color balance - do consider covering/removing them. Again, great job!

Thanks for appreciating my work. I also want to thank to you for your great guide. Its very useful and your work is very nice and beautiful.
I agree with you with the sticker of my HX520. Its really upset my setup I'm planning to change it to hx850 to my the color of my theme.

I'm glad I was of some help. I think it would be a bit overkill to switch to the hx850 just for looks however... heat up the stickers slightly and they should peel right off. They can be reapplied later if you ever decide to upgrade.

I just wanted to ask a quick question.

I'm changing the length of my ATX 24 cable, is it ok to cut all the wires at once, and then just color mach them together?
Or is there a difference between wires of the same color?
    CPU: Intel Q6600 L803A887 VID1.2625v @ 3.6GHz (400x9) 1.42Vcore | Cooling: TRUE (Lapped)
Mobo: P5K Premium | Cooling: Stock heatsinks custom backplates
RAM: 2 x 2Gb Adata Extreme Vitesta | Cooling: Stock
    Gfx: Club 3D HD4870 OC @ 800/950Mhz (factory overclock) | Cooling: Stock
PSU: Corsair TX450W | Cooling: Stock

Yes, same wire color = same voltage and black = ground, so you'll be fine.
