I would only use grease if you dont remove evap/tube for a while. I never do but always take cpu out right after run.

    Hi every1!
I had my singlestage running yesterday for a couple of hours and this morning.
I took the rubber off and it didn't leave any markings, so this insulation method is DA SHIZNIT !!!

No condensation on the board or in the socket at all!

I paid 0.65 Euro for one piece!
And I needed 2 pieces to insulate, but mine looked pretty bad.
How many layers did you use? Just one?

We recently used yellow ones under ln2, but gray ones are "clean". I just use Faber branded gray: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FABER-CASTELL-...29141001r38291

We all know people using different brands and colours, i don't want to give a faulty advice

My first try was too thin and the uneveness around socket caused me condensation pockets. I think The GanG approach pictured here is the way to go. Will try it next time.

    @bluto
Yeah, I was worried that you could have condensation problems because of this one thin layer.
That's why I tried to "copy" loc.o...be with the kneaded rubber at the same height as the CPU heatspreader.
    So it's one plain surface.

It makes a big difference; a lot of layers...
Loc.o's and splmann's works are good samples...

I`d like to ask few things that i must to know
If you use a SS for bench only for benchs session... i must use dielectrica grease under that eraser?

I know that i must use always grease into the socket....

By the Way what i can use like you use white neoprene adhesive tape?

Air+cold surface (specially metal or hard plastic)=condensation
    Air+eraser=no condensation...

no grease under eraser, with grease, it becomes b.ulls.hit
    backplate+regular neoprene+mobo+eraser+regular neoprene is a good way...

BND|MOD, Armaflex = neoprene. Neoprene is the material, Armaflex is just a trademark.
