Sounds good- tomorrow or wedenesday i will get 2 8500 16FD5 kits- naked, but the heatspreaders are in the package with some Zalman glue^^- I hope they can stand the comparison with the 3 kits I have here and my CS and Team 8500- but I am not very optimistic, its getting harder and harder to get good kits which arenīt degraded or even defective

But not all- arrived today, 18F highest selection ICs- tested at 1,95Volts 600 PL7 2:3 Memtest stable, havenīt tried less V or higher frequency yet- lack of time

P.S. I think setting the clock for summertime is futile now as it ends in less than two month

Quick test, how far I can lower the voltage at 600MHz CL5:

These are my benching sticks, the Crucial 10th Anniversary Kit. Nothing spectacular but still pretty good for a kit that has been used at 2.65V most of the time...

    Don_Dan,very nice 2.06 for 1200

well i got a few new sticks of d9's and a new UD3P rev 1.0
    now to start clocking

looks like this new kit i got is a pretty decent kit.crucial pc8500 16FD3's
its nice when you get new sealed ones like this kit.at least then you have
a decent chance of not getting degraded chips

    8x500@4000 DDR2-1200 2.08v vdimm bios/2.06v real

Lol-Iīm surrounded by low voltage fetishists- lets get it on with some more V- some Cellshock 1150 Red Devil with GKX, once were mine but sold them- since the new owner doesnīt seem to get along with them he sent them for testing at high frequency- 2,24V on my UD3 were enough for about 1275 with auto subs and turbo- and they scale^^

Nah, I'm not really into low voltage, just did this for comparison purposes.

Are these Pace.Mr._Ace's sticks? If he doesn't want them anymore... I still want them.

    @radaja: Very nice mate!
Did you try 400 2:3? Those settings might require even less Vdimm.

Yes, these are the CS now owned by Pace.Mr_Ace- send him a PM, maybe he sells at the right price , knowing he is also getting a 1066 Ballistix kit from me doing 1300 at 2,16V 32M- think he has too much ram now^^- technical and optical these are 100%
BTW- no difference with me between 500/600 and 400/600 in Ram voltage- but I think you have to look for the right GTLs, radaja- 1,38V NB is very high- my UD3 is stable at 1,22-1,24V in bios at 500/600, prime large, blend and 32M

just got the board yesterday and im using my standard known good settings to fire it up and make sure it runs normal using the 333strap and 5:6 divider.my other board wouldnt run PL8 at 5:6 500fsb with out 1.40v.ive gone through about 6 UD3P's in the last month and testing them for the best one.

this setting im using1.28v vtt/1.38v vmch good up to 560fsb ddr2-1334,at least with my first UD3P from way back.so now i will start pushing the fsb and see how far it goes and if it stacks up to my good one

Thatīs my Board with my old E8500- cpu wasnīt that good- ram at 2,4B, but I forgot the tab-was one of my first tries, then I came to the point where I needed less NB

And this is the DFI I sold recently with my E8600 and some Ballistix at too much V^^

I'm always using 1.34-1.40V for benching, and 1.28V for memory testing, I'm sure you can lower you Vnb, or go for 600MHz FSB.

Today I tested another stick, Corsair 6400C3. It's a very nice stick, too bad I only have one of these.

For DDR2-1000 CL4 it needs 2.00V, while the Crucial 10th Anniversary kit needs 2.13, for DDR2-800 CL3 it needs 2.13 while the Crucial kit needs 2.22V.

After I finished all my tests, I plugged in the 8888C4 stick ( I only have one stick of those as well ), which resulted in no boot. Plugged in the 6400C3, set a higher Vdimm, plugged in the 8888C4, again, no boot. Then I plugged in the 6400C3... no boot. Another memory kit, again no boot. At that point I was starting to get nervous, CMOS Clear and again no boot.
After unplugging everything and using only one stick of value memory I was able to revive it, I'll give it some time to rest now. Would have been really bad to lose a v1.0 UD3P that way.

Nice result- but seems you start collecting single sticks xD

P.S. @Topic- one of the two new ballistiX kits I got- both work fine, when I am finished with testing others peoples ram I might give them a try- 600 Cl5 @1,9V looks good

P.P.S. Iam actually selling my 1000s CS and a kit of Ballitix 1000s- so start saving your money,Dan

    Thanks!
I only have two single Corsair sticks, everything else is in nice pairs.
Just wanted to test them since Memtest runs don't take long with 1GB sticks. However, I wonder what caused these problems, the 8888C4 worked fine on the Commando last time I used it.

    600MHz CL5 @ 1.90V is just sick.

PS: I might actually be interested in one of the 8500 -18F kits.... and I saved some money by now, not like the last two times. -.-
