I give up on RAM overclocking. No matter what I try my UD3P and P5E could not do over 1333MHz. Even 3v didn't work, i'v tried every other reference or volt.

    So I give up.

When you say "do over 1333" do you mean simply being able to boot and bench, or are you looking at some semblance of stability??

I meant being able to load windows and bench.

I know, i'v spent weeks tho.

If I could see someones BIOS settings (and I mean all the BIOS settings) for 1400MHz on a UD3P/R (that can at least run Everest benchmark) i'd give it ago. But I haven't found any.

Could be because I have a 65nm quad and its to hard on the MCH to run it and the RAM?

    PS i'm getting a E8500 soon.

Its obvious, but have you tried a TRFC in the 45-60 range?

Yep its been above that too.

I tried maxing out my primary timings (7-15-15-72), not sure about the last one, but something like that and it still didn't help.

    Also I can even do 1066MHz @ 4-4-4-12 @ 2.3v, but on my P5E I could do 1111MHz +.

Probably DIMM power regulation implementation is a bit flaky then.. a good BIOS could probably top you up to 1080-1100, but something in hardware deffinately doesn't seem as strong.

My CellShocks sticks are fine. On my P5E any 1 stick could do 1300MHz 5-5-5-15 W/ only 2.21v +- 0.02v (windows).

Maybe I have a massive vdrop on my RAM .

Anyone know a program to measure vdimm on UD3P?

Possible. Like I said, something in hardware deffinately isn't as strong. Time to bust out the multimeter methinks

I'm going to give it one last go in a few hours.

    Just have some questions.

    1. DRAM Clock Skews, do they help? If so what should I set them to for 1400MHz +
    2. Is there any other volt but MCH and vdimm i'll have to adjust?
    3. Data/Cmd/Ctrl/Clk Driving Pull Up Level?
    4. Data/Cmd/Ctrl/Clk Driving Pull Down Level?
    5. tRD Phase 0/1/2/3 Adjustment?
    6. Trd2rd/Twr2wr/Twr2rd/Trd2wr Different Rank?

I'v tried playing around with these, but its hard when theres lots of different options and I have no idea whats good/bad etc?

    Thanks

They do help, but its all experimentation to see what works and what doesnt. Especially with skews and pull up\down levels. For sub timings try something like 42-4-8-4-4.

I have two pair of double-side 1GB Tracers. The one w/o the clamp. Which version of D9 are they or do I have to tear off the spreaders to find out?

Try to find them in google before you tear off the heatspreaders - you don't want to damage the ICs
